Anyone know about an exhaust yet?

Does anyone have info on an exhaust yet?

Does anyone know if the Accord exhaust has the same hanger placements? (fron the "y" pipe back)

Thanks!

I figure there won't be a catback replacement for a while, so just changing out the mufflers will have to do for now. Especially if you want to keep the tips.

Try calling around to King Motorsports or Borla. Comptech may have something soon, but I never liked the sound or look of their exhausts. I'm hoping for a full kit Mugen from King myself.

No offense guys but I love the way the TL sounds with the OEM exhaust. I also like the way the tips blend right in with the rear bumper. Why change it? Nothing beats OEM. Don't be another ricer out there

Anyone know what the size of the stock exhaust piping is? And has anyone who has changed the stock muffler cut one open to see the muffler deisgn? I may just change out the muffler to a Borla. IMO, the TL is almost too quiet.

It looks about 1 3/4" at the tailpipes - I eyeballed it with a ruler. That seems a bit small. With two resonators, two mufflers, and relatively small piping, there is probably some power to be found in an aftermarket exhaust. Before I altered anything though, I would want to see and hear the new system. It would have to sound appropriate (tasteful) for this car and it would have to look stock. I'm too old for fartpipes.

It doesn't sound like anything stock...that's not good. I like being able to hear the engine at least a little. The intake helped, but a little bit more of a throaty sound at WOT would be nice.

Exactly. I would enjoy the car more if it were louder above 3000 RPM.

I also like the way the tip blend in, my after market choice would be one with square or rectangular tip if possible, I just want a little sound.

Just went to a local muffler shop who specialize in custom exhausts, and there are two ways in doing it until someone makes a bolt on kit...change the muffs and keep the tips, borla or magnaflow, straight pipe the two resonators for louder sound(if you want to rice it out like everybody says), or do the above, and increase the piping to 2 1/4 or 2 1/5. The tech says Acura did an outstanding job with the piping especially where it Y's out in the end to the two mufflers. If you see how Honda did their piping for their V6 aaccord, you cane see the difference.

Flowmaster?

I was looking to make the TL have a little bit more of a "throatier" sound but not too much where it seems overdone. Would replacing the stock muffler with a Flowmaster do the trick? Anyone try this yet? Any ideas? Like I said, the last thing I want is to have the car sound too "ricey".
