Anyone know??

I am new to this board, and I have been shopping for a TL and trying to decide exactly what I want for about 2 months now. I finally decided on the TL over the G35. But here is my question to you guys; The dealer said that they can't order anymore 04's, so I placed an order for an 05 for November. But I am worried because I love the 04 body style. Does anyone have any inside info on if the body will change at all, or on the price difference?? Am I looking at a couple hundred more $$ or a couple thousand more $$? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!! Oh, by the way, I decided on Anthrocite on black 6 spd navi. A black on black will be available next week, which is my 2nd choice. That is why I am fishing for info here.

for some info

Also, they just changed the body style for '04, you won't see anything significant changed body stylewise on the 05 (if any)

No body changes for 05. Honda/Acura usually change some outside trim pieces between model years. It should have a full make over in 2006/2007.

That's interesting Vic. I've never had an Acura before now, but Honda has gone to a 5 year makeover cycle. 2-3 years sounds like a short interval before a remake on the TL?

Interesting to hear Honda is now on a 5 year cycle. They always used to run a 3 year cycle back in the 80s-90s, at least for the European models. Seemed like there was always something new coming that Hubbie wanted. Now it's me!

it was 4 year cycle in the late 80's and early 09's.. then starting with the 98 (at least the accord) they went on the 5 year cycles.

Yes a 4-5 year cycle is the norm, but there is always a makeover, sometimes significant, midcycle. Since the TL is a new model no significant changes, besides some additional colors should be expected in 05, The midcycle refresh should happen no earlier than 06 (type S?, AWD?, Hybrid? Who knows! )

It seems like the mid cycle makeovers of most cars are pretty minor, IMO. The stuff I notice often are slightly redesigned lights. I wouldn't really expect anything too drastic...

Manufacturers usually rework the molded parts once between sheet metal revisions.

Don't expect anything new for '05 except bug fixes.
