Thats correct. Ebay fogs are also CRAP because they have plastic lenses that crack easy due to road debrit.

I highly recommend Depo brand which are as close to an exact replicate of OEM that you can buy. They are crazy nice, and still only half the price.

This is the only website I know of which sells them, and its where I got mine from. They also do have the anti-glare shield built in:

I was gonna go with the accord fogs off of this website. Seems like a decent price, but I wanna know how's the quality? Did these come with glass or plastic lenses? Ebay accord fogs seem like great prices but I'm willing to pay a little more for better quality. I don't want to be replacing fog light lenses because they are starting to fade or melt from HID lights.

I've had mine installed for a couple of months. No issues. I'm running 35W HIDs in them. I believe the lenses are plastic, but are of good quality. The whole package came with everything you need--harness, relay and switch.
I'm pretty satisfied with them.

They don't have the glare shield, right? ^^^
I didn't think it would matter, but my friend on here really is not happy with his because he says he can see yellow on his house roof when he pulls up. And we set them pretty deep into the bumper!

I just ordered the OEM accord fogs with H11 Xenon 6000k HID kit, and then Xenon 6000k D2S bulbs to match.

A lot of people are complaining about the glare in the accord fogs, is there anything I can do to eliminate this?
I have been reading up on glare shields and such, but will something have to be done to the halogen casing?

Thanks!!

I think for the mission you may go on, you would be better served with ordering the OEM ones.

Well after ordering everything needed...
New grills, oem accord fogs, HIDs
I realized that after more reading that there would be just too much glare... and retrofitting the accord fogs didn't really seem like an easy option.
Looks like I'll be returning everything

Mission... Failed!

prob. cause I'm an idiot and don't know what I should do

I love the look of the lights down there, but the HID's just won't work in them.
Maybe I should use them for actual FOG lights.... hmmm...

haha, buyers remorse settling in

my brother ordered his from ebay and have HIDs in them as well for like 6 months already and no issues but the glare. my question is, if you install HIDs in the oem ones with the shield on, would they prevent the glare compare to how they ebay ones emit the lights?

Could I essentially get these fogs and run the power that was going from my OEM fogs to these since I am not going to be using them and basically the switch that was used to turn on oem fogs would be for new ones?

Thats how my setup is and the shields definately help. I have 55w HIDs with Depo fogs and I ask friends all the time if my lights blind them when coming at me in opposing traffic or when I drive behind them and they say a resounding "no, your car is just really bright".

I'll take pics tonight to show HID's with the shield.

Are Accord fogs a direct fit into a TL grille?? I thought it was a wide, one-piece grille in there.....

ALL bumper fogs, whichever brand will require retrofitting and are not a direct fit ^.

About the glare...with the shield, I have HID's too and I can say that I've checked and checked again, and I don't get highbeamed by oncoming traffic EVER. I agree 100% with Gerzand. The glare shield keeps the glare down.

I will say that because they're not meant for our cars the angle the light emits from kind of shoots off to the side and doesn't look perfect...but if you get HID's and match your low beams it's negligible.

About the wiring...originally I did this...just used the OEM stalk as the On/Off and cut out the OEM fogs...but I wanted to use them as DRL's so I actually wired up the relay and ran the new switch into the car. I had it wired to my parking lights but after having to remember to turn them on/off every time to avoid the lower fog HID from coming on/off with the parking lights every time I locked/unlocked the car I switched them to come on with the low beam.

Couldn't be happier.
