Anyone else get automated calls regarding Extended warranty coverage ?

I am so annoyed. I bought the 7 year/100k extended warranty when I purchased my TL-S in March '07, and I keep getting these automated calls that my factory warranty is going to expire.

The automated call would call my cell phone weekly and now it calling my work #.

WTF, Acura ? You sell of my information when I bought the car...

I get mailings and calls... not for my '07 TL, but for my 2001 Chrysler Town and Country.... I hate damn tele/mail marketers!

OMG I get those calls like 3 times a day.....AT WORK!!

I hardly ever get them at home but I started getting them on my cell too.

I didn't think they were from Acura though because everyone else at work gets them and I am the only one who drives an Acura.....

Maybe Ford and Subaru are sending them too.

I am not sure if this is okay.. but hopefully it is. If not, mods just edit/delete my post.

You can remove yourself from the pre-screened credit card, warranty offers, etc.. without going thru lifelock (you're basically paying them to do it for you... you can do everything they do, yourself)

I haven't received a credit card offer (or marketing call.. or warranty offers) since I did this.

http://www.optoutprescreen.com/

It's free...

*EDIT* - You can only opt out for 5 years (if you do it electronically).. but then you can just re-do it... or select the by mail option.

Thanks for the post. I've received several lately on my '07 TL-S and I wasn't sure if it was for the Acura or my wife's vehicle. Only on my cell phone though.....

I don't think it is Acura making the calls but a third party warranty company trying to make a buck
