Anyone bought these aftermarket tails from ebay? Looking for opinions...
just got my silver 06 TL, looking to swap the tails as I much prefer the look of the newer tails...
these are all over ebay and are super cheap compared to oem...says they are dot approved...
has anyone else bought from them, or does anyone else have a more recommended place to get these? what else will i need to make the swap, anthing? is it a direct swap or will i need to change connectors, bulbs, circuit boards or anything? thanks in advance.

they're depo lights, they will work for your year. it's a direct swap. the only thing i'd suggest getting is maybe some tail light gaskets (foam pieces). they're like $8 from an acura dealer.

I just put my Depo tails on three weeks ago and love 'em. I got them from this seller:

They really change the look of rear view and I actually walked past my car a couple times trying to find it in the parking lot at work. No issues with water/fog so far. Fitment isn't perfect, but the same as OEM. IMO, with the way the bumper, rear quarters, and lights are all attached, I don't think OEM can line up any or much better. When things are attached with plastic body rivets and snap-tabs, you're bound to have things not line up perfectly.
But yeah, I'm totally satisfied with mine and will be glad to use the money I saved over OEM parts on other mods.

the bulbs you have now blink white, and if you used those in the clear housing, yes it's illegal.

would someone please confirm whether those listed on ebay for just under $100 shipped (link listed above) from AM Autoparts will fit on a 2006 Base TL? All of the reading I've done leads me to yes, no reason it shouldnt fit. But when I emailed them they reponded and said no, that they will only fit the 07-08 Type TS TL. I want to order these for this price but just need confirmation first that they'll fit correctly. thanks in advance...

I got the same as above for 108 shipped. he gave them to me cheaper if I agreed to pay him outside of baysince eBay takes a fee from him selling these things. he's also a power seller so I wasn't worried about being scammed

well, i dont know whether i got the depo lights or the eagle lights, but they look good. i got them new from ebay for $98/shipped. installed them this evening, they look great.
i had one hell of a time w/ those stupid black plastic clips in the bottom of the rear bumper. I also snapped the plastic clips that holds the led connector wire onto the led board, these are extremely fragile, i added a little electrical tape to hopefully keep it from coming loose. I also reused the OEM foam gaskets that I removed from the OEM lights, rather than use the gaskets that came w/ the new lights (based on recommendations I read here on this forum).
Overall, I'm very happy w/ the way they look and I'm hopeful that they perform well and fog/leak free.

for some reason I'm having trouble posting a pic I took during the install, but here's a pic of the issue I'm dealing w/ now...a fogged up light full of condensation...only days old, never driven in the rain...this is such BS!

yea, i'm going to get some new gaskets for each side and see if that takes care of it....
Although, I emailed the ebay seller and told them about the fog/condensation and they immediately emailed back and told me that a new light would be mailed out ASAP...low and behold, I came home a few days later to a brand new light...btw - these are eagle eyes lights.
so, knowing that they're eagle eyes, is the fog/condensation why everyone hates them, because as far as looks go they seem to look very nice and they fit just fine, although I dont have any oem type s tails or depo's to compare them to...
wondering if I should just sell these and get Depo's? is the quality/fit/finish/looks/etc really that much better and more worth it?
