Why? To each their own I guess. If you like it that's all that matters. It's really easy to change the handles and I can give you a hand if you really want to do this.

 

I'm curious to see what it would look like. Saw a white honda with black handles and it didnt look bad... Should be a relatively cheap, easily reversible mod?

 

Yes it will be easily reversible. Just I'm sure those handles aren't cheap x 4.

 

Its always the "out of the box" thinkers that come up with new viable mods...so more power to you!!

 

I think it would kind of cheapen the look.....kinda like having unpainted plastic door handles seen on sub 15k cars

I remember the concept TL was black with silver handles. That looked good IMO. If I had NBP I would try silver handles. Not sure for WDP.

 

Plus the end caps. So it's gonna run about $100 for the 4.

 

This wouldbe interesting combined with the other post about a 2 tone A-Spec kit...

NBP A-Spec kit and door handles would be pretty dramatic. Any photshop weenies out there?

 

That's rice! At least it is IMHO. Think about it. Two-toned... fine but just doing the body kit does not make the car 2 toned. It would look like you put on a body kit that you bought off ebay really cheap and didn't have the money to repaint it to match your car so you just put it on anyways.

I dunno maybe I just have no vision or maybe my vision has higher standards. I am pretty good at visualizing what a car is gonna look like with mods.

Didn't Comptech do exactly that though (excluding the door handles) with thier project TL?

headlights already done, sidemarkers on the list, tailights I'm not feelin. I like meh red lights.

if somebody can chop this, I'd like to see how it looks with the blacked headlights

 

Just a thought.....but wouldn't it be a lot easier just painting the door handles black as opposed to changing the entire assembly?

 

Well if you're going to go through the trouble to take them off to paint them why not spend 100 bucks and put black ones on?

Lee its starting to grow on me. That might look pretty damn good. I say give it a shot...

consider that the Accord DX comes with black handles no matter what color it is b/c its a cheaper car...I think the blank handle makes the car look like a base model. just my two cents. If you do it, post pics and let us know how it turned out.

BTW, your headlights are sick. I love them on your car. Looks great...

 

looks better than i thought it would have. just out of curiousity, can someone change those from black to SSM or silver similar to the grille trim?

 

why not just find someone local and trade to see how it would really look

 

you must have black hood then if you replace your handles black.

better than i thought it would look just thinking about it. i cant imagine this working well on any other color but white. well okay maybe working well on other colors but just not black.

honestly, not AS bad as i imagined...
Although i really don't think the rockblockers on a WDP...the red looks good with it..

 

if you DON'T do your handles, tint your windows and get rockblockers for your rear lights, then it will be perfect

i was considering this myself a long time ago, but i never really considered actually doing it. i dont like it after seeing the photochops. hey, how about red handles to match the rear side markers hahahaha
