Any difference really between 05,06, and 07?

I am still searching for a 05-07 TL w/Nav and I have yet to find one that I have fallen in love with. I am to picky I think. Anyways are there really any differences between the 05-07 TL's? Anything that will help me in my search will be appreciated!

the 3rd gen is split in two

04-06 = UA6
07-08 = UA7

there was a mid change in the 07-08 models like fog lights, headlights, tails, upgraded navi, stereo unit, etc. small noticable things. if youre in the market for a TL 05-07 i'd def tell you to get the 07 simply because its better cause its newer. newer models have more fixes on them that previous models had problems with like some rattles for instance.

tmps...

depends on how picky you are. You are stupid if you get anything other than black interior with this leather. Also, make sure to get the acura all weather mats.

Tire pressure monitoring was added in '06.

I don't remember if the iPod/accessory jack was added in '06 or '07.

The interior and exterior received minor updates in '07- mirror-mounted turn signals, fog light location, taillight appearance, as well as a Type S with the 3.5l and 286 horsepower. As a result, the regular '07 TL's suspension is supposedly tuned to be a little softer/more forgiving than the '04-06 models.

The Navi versions also received XM instant traffic capability in '07.

G/L.

if you are looking at a tl, look at 05-07, 05 was updated slightly for some fixes, like different leather stitching, supposedly different transmission, etc. The 06 had the addition of TPMS and that was it. the 07+ TL was "refreshed". The grill was made larger, foglights were moved to the bottom of the bumper, the tail-lights changed, a Type-S model was added...

what is the story with the steering wheels? People have started to complain about the newer model steering wheels being cheaper or thinner? Is there really a difference or is this bs?

07+ Radio takes MP3 CD's.. the best difference IMO !!!! 150+ songs per CD-R, instead of trying to burn bootlegged DVD-A's, which always skipped

Also, GradeLogic transmission was included in 07+...

different a-spec body kit

side-view mirror turn signals

DRL's and lower bumper foglights

a few different color options...

BACK UP CAMERA !!! nice feature....

Updated NAV with XM Traffic & Zagat Rating

the MID display controls are on the steering wheel now, instead of on the dash...

ambient lighting under the dash board...

switchblade key (07+)

Also, (well atleast with the type-s) there is a one touch start.. basically, when you put the key in the ignition, all you need to do is slightly tap it into III, and the car will start by itself.. you dont have to hold it down

I owned an 06 & 08, so i know almost every difference by heart

From my experience, the layout is updated, and the DVD drive is also faster in the newer models.

I believe only the TL-S are UA7.
07-08 base TL is still UA6...

You all forgot the most important difference. Manual transmission was last offered in 06 for non-S TLs. That means, LSD, upgraded brakes, and a bigger rear sway bar.

it's not BS. yes it is thinner and feels cheaper than the 04-06 steering wheel. I had an 08 loaner for about a week, and the difference is definitely there....

here's the pics:

the only thing I liked about the 07-08 steering wheel is that they moved the -/+ buttons for the MID display to the steering wheel, which was really nice and made it much more convenient to use that having to taking your hand off the wheel and push the buttons on the dashboard console.

it is my understanding that only the Type-S 07-08 has a thicker steering wheel that is closer to the 04-06, but the look, design, and button placement is still the same as the non Type-S 07-08

I think the Tan color leather is nicer than the black leather. BUT not the "camel" color in the 04's. Only the Tan in the 05's and above. But this is the overall difference that I have seen.

05's have a high grade leather than the 04's. Its the same is the 07 & 08.

I have a friend that has a lease on an 07 so these are the main differences between his and mine.

- His suspension is slightly lower and slightly more firm. Most people don't observe that.
- The 07 has more tech or sporty looking wheels.
- 07 has moved some switches on the sterr wheel, but no new added features.
- The 07 has turn signals on the rear view mirrors and the mirrors are more sporty and less square.
- The tail lights are different.
- The programming on the NAVI and audio is upgraded.
- The factory bass box sounds better (more bass and maybe more power, not sure why it goes louder with more bass and less distortion.)
- The instrumentation cluster has been upgraded and its more sporty looking, but the 05 is not bad at all. Most the features on the cluster are the same, just relocated and has a little different look.
- I think the radio on the 07 comes with some added features like DNR or something like that.
- 07 has Daytime running lights, both 05 and 07 cars have fog lights.
- I have never been in a TL-S. Don't really care to either. haha
- reverse Camera in the 2007
- Remote control was different in the 07 but I think its too big. I like the 05 remote better.

That was the first thing I noticed when I saw an 07-08. I kinda wish I had that since I'm always checking my trip, MPG, etc.

not redundant:
1. The euro blinkers are on the side-mirrors that were added to all 07+ TL's, no 04-06 has them unless they are aftermarket.
2. the Tail-lights have a clear lense on the outside, the part you can touch, and then red trim inside the housing, the 04-06 has silver pieces on the inside and then a RED lense that you can touch on the outside.
3. The 07 base has a cleared out, non-red brake light section on the tail-light. The TL-S has it full red with gunmetal accents. the 04-06 is solid red.

if you get a base model and dark interior go with an 06. the base 07 interior switched from an awesome fake carbon fiber and decided to go with a crappy fake black wood grain crap tone thingy. also, the suspension is softer on the base 07+ compared to the 06.

i like the aspec kit for the 04-06 the best.

i am really not a fan of the lower fogsi n the 07+, some really like though.

i also like the gauges in the older models, i dont really like what they did to them in 07+. thats all i got, good luck

OH, ONE MORE...those nasty ass pink tails in the base 07+ have to burn. those things just look silly. ok, now i am done

I always preferred the looks of the 04-06 TL versus the 07-08 Base TL... Type S is a different story
