Any chance insurance will do something?
Any chance insurance will do something?
So this is not about my TL (thank god
) but I got a question for all the gurus here:
I'm currently trying to sell my old car and today found a buyer and agreed on a price. We were going to meet up tomorrow to deliver the vehicle and funds so everything seems to be wrapping up nicely, until...
I was leaving the meeting place, a gas station to go home and pulled up behind a truck at the exit to the main road. The driver apparently didn't notice my car was there and decided to back up the truck (he was poking out too much into the road).
Next thing I know my hood/grill/front bumper/lights got trashed by the truck's rear bumper and tow hook.
So my question is:
"Is there anyway I can get his insurance company to compensate me for the loss in value of the car and the loss of sale?" (I can have the buyer act as a witness and have postings online to prove that I'm trying to sell the car).
Long shot, fat chance, I know - but just wondered if anyone else has been in the same situation and can offer any insights.
