Anthracite color?
I'd call it a color that goes very well with the 18" OEM wheels:

Okay, I've gotta stop posting this. But yeah, charcoal works, but it has metallic flakes in it so it glimmers in the light.

I've gotta disagree with lore - keep posting it, it's my favorite color.
Then again, it also ain't charcoal - the color is not akin to the remnants a bbq. Charcoal is more like Gray Lustre on a maxima y2k.
Nevertheless, even with lore's nice looking ride, you won't do the color justice unless you see it under the shade in daylight.

Once I find a good location you can be sure I'll pop out of the car and take a few more shots.I really like the photo above because of the backdrop (the colorful buildings)... if I was't so hurried and could spend some time composing the photo it could be straight out of a car brochure. I'd have stepped back a little more but I was afraid of getting hit by the cars driving behind me.

Any shot will do!
Any angle will do!
Daytime OR nightime doesn't really matter!
I don't care what is in the background I am interested in the foreground.
This is the exact car I have on order......End of April can not get here fast enough!!!! This wait is killing me! :banghead:
Your car is currently my desktop background

I will see what I can do later today. The background is important, it gives the picture a "wholesome" feel...Did you get the body side moldings too? And the 18" OEM wheels?
My wife's '02 TL has the bluish metallic in the black as well - looks great...

Lore, I have the anthracite too and DAMN. That pic almost made me run to the Acura dealer for the OEM rims. If I do go aftermarket, gunmetal is the way to go for me...I just want you to know I blame you...=)

Lore,
You bet only difference is that I also ordered the front spoiler, and the deck lid spoiler in addition to the OEM 18's and BSM.
I have been questioning the Anthracite decision, and have been waivering between it an NBP (my last 3 cars have been black). Nothing looks better than a clean black car....but it can be a pain to keep it that way.
I am still teetering on the color, but after seeing your shots I am getting the feeling I made the right choice.
Still not 100% though!

Yes, EVAR. It's a great color, keeps clean significantly better than black, and looks great with the OEM rims.
You made the right choice -- black is nice when clean, but we all know how long cars keep clean, right? On the downside, black is hot, gets swirly, and black is hard to KEEP clean!

Yes, the downside is this: Cars and ladies keep coming too close for a look, they eventually kiss my bumper. Happened thrice already. Once by a Ford F150, 2nd by a Subaru Legacy, 3rd by a nice but whale of a lady who almost fell off the curb onto the ground but my bumper broke her fall.
I can't yet decide which caused more damage although the F150 takes the cake with the "almost shit in my pants" effect.

Now you brought me in!!
Okay, no you are going to have to make me post my Athracite baby...
This color rocks!!!
Someone else beside almost rear ended someone because they were rubbing necking looking at my Anthracite!

You're kidding, right, Lore? That thing looks like shit.
Haha. J/K. For me it was a toss-up between silver and anthracite. I told myself whichever color the dealer had, I was going to get. I figured, let fate decide.
Nice ride.

WOW!!! Ask and yee shall receive.
One question though. I noticed that at the seams of the doors that the paint seems different, creating a very distinct "lip" appearance. It is clearly evident in the first pic you posted (04acuraTLsun1.jpg). I noticed this at the dealer as well and was told by others that this was isolated. It looks like no metallic flake is present on the lips of the doors. Now I am getting worried it is a color based defect in Anthracite cars. It only appears on the seams between the front and rear doors. You can also see this effect in the 04acuratlsun9.jpg pic as well.
Does anyone know what this is?? Is this a paint problem?? This is exactly what turned me off when I first saw the car in Anthracite. Now I am even more concerned

I haven't seen many TL's with the rear spoiler here. Haven't seen any on the road ...yet.
Here is mine.
