Another vent about TL Quality/Dealer service
Not to harp on the the dealer service too much, but more on the quality of my TL (not everyone esle's). Don't get me wrong, I love this car, which is why it makes me so mad about the little things. Well, here we go... I took my car in to Gold Coast Acura 2 weeks ago to have the tranny replaced (just got it back today), I was susposed to have it back in 2 days. So, wasn't too peved about that, they gave me a loaner. I told them about the headliner (again, after 3 fixing it three times already) and rear deck rattle, they put a whole new headliner in. When I got there, my car was filthy (even after they "detailed" it), they had left the windows down and left it outside (even at night), there are fields nearby and dust from the fields went in my car and they didn't clean it out! So after I get the done looking at my filthy car, I notice that the headliner has already fallen down
(it's really pretty funny now). After I look at it, I notice a bent Snap-on regualr screw driver in the back seat (which makes me no longer wonder what they used to remove the headliner). So I pop the hood to see if there is anything noticable in the engine compartment. I immediatly notice the Strut brace scrached to fuck along with massive tears in the black fabric on the hood. Well, lets just say I wasn't too thrilled... They ordered a new strut brace (after the guy who worked on the car made a smart ass comment about how it wouldnt' rust with thoses scraches, like I care, still looks like shit). They said they'd call Acura about the headliner (woopie!). Well, I drove home in my filthy car, I guess I'll wash it tonight. Hey, but at least they fixed the tranny (I hope :sqnteek: ) I guess it's not really that bad, just a dissapointment. Don't flame, it's not necessary.

I think you have a valid point here. Acura is supposed to be the upscale version of Honda. As a Honda dealer once told me, if you want to pay too much for your Honda, buy an Acura. I believe for what we pay we should expect a higher level of service. Acura used to be that way. Something has changed and its causing me to look elsewhere for my next car.

I also expected more out of "Acura" in terms of service and it can be quite frustrating dealing with the service department and the service advisors. Hope you get what you originally wanted fix, and then find another service department!

I'm sorry to hear about your experiance, Dave's always treated me great over there but I have noticed that since they started doing 5-6 trannies a week things have gotten a bit buzy. I hope your next visit reassures you. Besides Calabassas is a long ways away.
