The 2004 S2000 has carbon fiber faced synchronizers.

We found that dumping Honda's MTF and using GM Synchromesh FRICTION MODIFIED made for the best shiftability of all fluids tried. I posted on it in an "RR Journal" previous, quo vide.

I see no reason to think it would not help the 6MT - others have told me it does.

the advisor called back and ....

1. will take to upholster shop and have them add extra padding and tighten the leather. same leather seat but will stretch tighter

Which dealership did you go to? Keep us posted. On 2nd Pleasanton Acura changed my pads and resurfaced rotors. TSB was 04-019. No squeaking now.

dont bother calling them because acura expired that tsb. dealers are no longer allowed to do 04-019. we have to wait until a third pad is develpoed and released. acura is aware of the problem and developed a new pad which they thought was a fix. later they found out it still squeaks.

 

new update.

they stretched the leather BUT>>>> the back gray carpet is showing and they put a fat gap between seat and the plastic on the side where the power controls are.

they replaced the front brake pads and rotors

couldn't duplicate the shifting problems

told them not to wash exterior and only vacuum interior and they did the reverse.

spoke with the service manager. very willing to make it right. they will replace the entire front driver seat leather cover. not the whole seat. throwing in a free oil change with synthetic and helping me replace the front plate hold plugs free of charge. and i didn't buy the car at this dealer. still in a loaner.
