Angry Another Paragon victim

got that 07 type s..sexy car btw..but the rear speakers still rattle..so one day i decide to take it into Paragon Acura (worst decision i made in my life)..just remember that before i took the car in for the repair i had hidden my little cousins phone between rear seat (where you clip in the seat belt)..

FIRST VISIT.

i take the car in for the speakers and because the steering would sometimes make a whining noise. i get a call 4 hours later from Kevin saying oo we need the car till tomorrow because it takes a whole day to remove the seat blah blah and i say ok thats fine. the next day i go in to pick up the car and he tells me the repairs were done and also lets me know that my car was ticked because of an expired meter. he offered to pay the ticket or an oil change. i said i wanted an oil change and that detailing service. he agreed to it. i start the car and the speakers are the same so i go back inside and i let him know he goes like oo the wool felt must have fallen back down when they were putting the decklid back in. so he tells me to bring it in next time. i said fine ok. as drive away in about 30 mins the the steering makes the same whining noise i call him on the spot and he says he will take care of it the next time i bring it in.

SECOND VISIT.

so again i take it in for the speakers and steering whine also new to the list were the side mirrors motors (they would make a clicking noise when moving them around ). so he tells me he needs the car for 2 days. i pick the car up. mirrors were good but speaker were the same and somehow my front driver side speaker sounded blown. so i leave and call him later he goes like wow bring it back in and ill replace the speakers.

THIRD VISIT.

i take it in get a call later on the day and he tells me he needs to order new speakers bla bla..so the car was there for a week. i get it back and he said he replaced the subwoofer and front driver side speaker..but i felt nothing different. so i get mad and leave

LATER ON...

im like oo snap what about the phone i had hidden between the seats. im thinking i got robbed..but when i can out to the car and checked the phone was in the same spot not even moved one inch..Paragon told me they had to remove rear seat to get to the speakers..little fishy right...

I CALL

the next say i call acura client service i tell them about the situation ( no help btw) i get a return call from the 800 and the woman tells me she spoke with the manager and i can take my car in the next day.

FOURTH VISIT.

i take the car in and Kevin is sure he will get it fixed this time. i get the car back the next day and he says all the speakers were replaced. i drive away and the cars doing the same thing. at this point im starting to think im crazy or something so i show the car to other mechanics and they conform the speakers are rattling..

the next say i woke up pissed and the whole day i was trying to get in touch with the manager and somehow hes always in a meeting. the second day i call and hes still in a meeting i tell them to let him know ill be there in an hr so i and hes still in a meeting..

i just told kevin to take care of the ticket and that i wouldnt be bringing my car back and left..THE END..

what to do now? who do i call?

oo and the time when they had the car for a week ever since that my rear brakes sound like they are scrapping something even when they are not applied..they say they didnt even remove the tires so idk

Call ACS, and possibly the BBB, then go to a different stealer.

bro.. get your money for the ticket and pay it yourself.. If Kevin never got the items needed to be fixed, fixed. What makes you think he will be paying that ticket???

I am glad I read up on Paragon before taking my car in there for repairs.. REad too many bad reviews...

I am reading Acura of Westchester is the place to go..

i find it that alot of times the dealer is lazy...i once marked all my tires because they were getting rotated and brought my car in for oil change and tire rotation and they never rotated the tires and when i picked up the car i pointed that out and i ending up leaving with free service and a honda care kit lol

I think he means get the $ from the dealer for the ticket, but you turn it in yourself...you can't expect them to follow through on the submission...

Make sure when Acura Corporate calls, you give them your honest opinion.

I have no idea why members who have read about these notorious service shops, still go there. Take Bert up on his offer.. give Bert your monies, women & booze!

I'm not surprised that ACS won't do anything. If they are still making money on new sales, they'll keep them around. It's a tough business out there for the auto industry.

Just stop going there and find someone else. The dealer I go to is excellent.

It's funny you say that. Just the other day, I had a TSX pass me and others like a man possessed. I ended up catching up to him since there are lights and 35mph speed limits. It was a used car, stickers in the window with a dealer plate on it. Some salesman is beating a car on his way home.

Paragon Acura and Acura of Brooklyn are the 2 worst Acura dealers in the United States.

You might want to check out Rallye on Long Island, Curry up in Scarsdale, or Acura of Manhattan, all have decent reputations.

Make sure everything is documented. There are much better agencies than the BBB to take your problems to. With my 1.5 years worth of troubles and trying to get the car fixed right, I finally won again and getting another new set of tires, compliance bushings, alignment, and balance. I had to stay on them and finally got a lawyer. You can go after many things including their business license. Just make 100% sure you're in the right, it would be a shame to damage or shut down a good business but judging from other reviews they probably deserve it. There's a difference in bad service and outright lies.

Hey I just bought a Tl TYPE-S and when I left the dealer My car was making a knocking sound and the AC was not even cold enough and the car needed an alignment. I called them back and spoke to the manager who told me GO THROUGH YOUR BUMBER TO BUMBER WARRANTY TO GET IT FIXED, Anyway to make a long story short I left Negative Feedback on DEALERATINGS.COM and put in a complaint throught the BBB and guess what? Got a call in 1 day from his boss and I had everything fixed and my front brakes and back done also in return for positive feedback. Try it dude it worked for me.

Here's where you messed up.... three times.
After the first time they didn't do anything. Stand and watch them do it the next time. It's a dick move, but at the end of the day... do you really care if you pissed them off to get your shit was done properly?
They can give you all the bullshit in the world that you can't go back there, but you can.

If the second time they appear to be chickens with their heads cut off, just bring that to their attention and get your shit paid for. Tell them to ship the parts to another dealership. If they are not up to par... why go back four times?

good luck to you sir.
frankly in my opinion (and experiences) ACS is the biggest joke in the world. if it wasn't for the dealers i've been to taking good care of me, i would never consider owning an acura again because of ACS. i've never had any manufacturer give me the run around like them. when i had issues with my subaru sti's motor, or when i had issues with my evo mr, a simple phone call to corporate solved all the issues i had that the stealership wouldn't touch.

i hate the fact that such a company doesn't really stand behind their products in the problems i've had and what it sounds like the OP is going through.
on the other hand ACS has bent over backwards for my mom.. but that's good for her.

screw ACS.

I used to go to paragon but their a bunch of asses over there. My car threw a code that was actually a TSB. They said they fixed it, yeah right my ass they did!! I took my car out to Island Acura in Wantagh. I got great service there worth the drive from Yonkers. I'm on the fence with Curry Acura. I heard good and bad about them, and as for Acura of Westchester my boy keeps getting docked around every time he goes there and he bought his tl from there too.

suggestion: go to the dealerrater website and write a review about the dealer so others will know.

+1,000,000,000

My experience with ACS is also woeful, I think they're entire job description is simply to BS with the customer until they give up and go away.

ACS has even tainted my opinion of Honda, which is bad for them because my driveway has about 5 of them in it at any given time... and i'm afraid that number may start to dwindle in the near future.
