So I was doing some work under my car last weekend and noticed what appears to be a place where a bolt should be. This is right behind the oil pan drain plug. It looks like there are threads on the other side of the opening as well. Does anyone know whether I am actually missing a bolt? If so, any idea how it might disappear? Thanks.

 

I'll have a look at mine when I get home. I will say that my dad's Honda Odyssey seems to have a few places where there should be a bolt but for some reason there isn't one there

 

Yea I bet that was to hold something up (like the sub frame) during assembly.

Notice how there is, and apparently has never been, a bolt flange mark...
