My one complaint about the TL is that the rear headrests block a significant part of the view through the rear window. Has anyone looked into alternative low-profile headrests such as from the Accord that would fit the TL?
I relaize that removing them entirely is an option. Thanks for the input.
My previous car a 2000 VW Passat had the same problem. The performance sedans all seem share a body style that creates large blind-spots, except for the Saab 9-3 which has a neat little blind-spot mirror.

IMO, if you concern the limited view when backing up the car, the backup sensors may be helpful.
As for driving, they don't really bother me. When people sit behind me, they're more eye-catching than those two headrests.

If your worried about blindspots check here. It's a thread regarding the "Multi-vex" mirrors. I just installed a set and they work extremely well. (See pics on second page.)

im sure for a reasonable amount of money you can have a set up like the VOLVO S60 with the springloaded headrests with the touch of a button they fold down...

Only if you have people sitting in the back seat. In my case, I have never had more than one person in the back seat, which is why I leave the driver's side rear headrest in place, but removed the passenger side so I can see.Originally Posted by Brewmaster

If I plan to carry a 4th person I will install the headrest, and if something comes up that I have to carry a 4th person without warning, they will just have to take their chances, but I will be sure to get a waiver signed for responsibility.

Oderint dum metuant.
At first I didn't think much of the whole can't-see-out-the-back thing, but it seems quite a few people have the issue. You guys really think the headrests impair your view out the back? I did have to get used to the rear window being smaller than the one on my old car, but I've never really had a problem with the headrests. Man, you'd probably think mine has no view...headrests AND a wing spoiler.

Yeah i yanked mine too around a year ago. Screw those who can't call shotgun first. (actually i have 2 car seats back there but i would have removed them anyway.) Much improved view. However it still seems a little more blind than other cars i have owned.Originally Posted by vidoprof
