Talking To all those that complain

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and have been reading all the threads and MAN a lot of TL owners complain about everything. PEOPLE, its a car made by imperfect humans, look at it for what it is and enjoy it. I drive the living daylights out of my TL I blew all the intake valves at 3K miles (shifted into 3 at 130mph, reved about 10,000rpm, and finally cost me 3gs to fix, no need to say anything stupid I aready know) the car has 15000 miles I just burned my second set of those turanzas (YUK), my brakes are sweeling to get changed. And man that car rides like a Lear Jet. Yeah its got a few rattling noises, Turn up the awsome system and go. The CAR IS AWSOME go and drive it more.

Jesus.

I'm not sure what else to say about shifting to 3rd @ 130.

edit:
Agree on how great the car is though.

How could you rev to 10k rpms when the TL ECU cuts out at 6800?

Only when accelerating in gear will it cut fuel if you over-rev. If you mis-shift from 5th to 3rd (instead of 6th). There is nothing a computer can do to prevent damage.

I agree Sure some people are having some bigger issues than others with the car but most should be able to enjoy the ride with a few rattles or somewhat mis-matched paint (body/bumper) etc etc. I just wish could open her up on the highways more but while I could afford the car I can't afford any tickets or insurance surcharges.

The complainers and the illiterates have prevented me from enjoying this site as much as I used to.

I've had nine Acuras in ten years, and this car is by far the best, 32,000 miles and not a single hiccup besides the lousy stock tires. What is there to complain about?

9 acuras in 10 years lol ... You switch cars more often than underwear... Some people are happy with junk some do not put up with it... it happens for everyone. lower/higher expectations. some are lucky to get one that was built well where other no so..

Or some just cruise nice roads where others are on pothole riddled streets. All that adds up to who thinks they have a great car. For some it's speed, some comfort, others toys.. But if you can stay out of he garage that makes it for me.. and mine has not been able to do that as well as it should...

Yowsers! And I thought mis-shifting into 3rd at 70MPH was bad!

5100 miles after 2.5 months, you can say that I'm really enjoying my car.

Sorry, its actually seven Acuras I count my wife's MDX. Since '95 I have had two legends, an integra, a TL, a TL Type-S, and a 3rd generation TL. The '04 is as close to perfect as Acura has ever built in a 4 door sport sedan. The new RL would be right up there in my book if Acura had kept the touch screen style navigation system instead of trying to copy the ridiculously cumbersome BMW i drive system. I will probably never get an RL because of the navi design. I'm more inclined to get another TL or maybe switch to the Lexus GS which is my new favorite sedan for the money.

AHAHAHAHHA, funniest thing I have read today. Thanks bro.

To the original poster, some people don't like dropping ~35k on a car and finding out there are many flaws. We are told this is a premium luxury sedan. My dealer accidently put diesel fuel for it's first tank of gas, and I drove around wondering what the fuck was that noise, sounding like a dump truck. Of course, they got me a brand new car though when I bitched them out. You sound like you drive when you first get your license and turn 16.
