All season floor mats

I know we had this discussion a while ago about how there is no edge around the floor mat so the water from rain/snow can roll off onto the underlying carpet. I found these mats just now, has anybody used them? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...omotive&n=1000

I am considering them for the RL.

I dont want the acura ones because the water/snow/slush flows off the side of the mats onto the carpet. Poor design IMO.

sure looks like there is a lip.

They also quote "rubber mats feature a positive retention system to prevent movement and a raised-lip design to prevent liquid from spilling over"

???

I bought the all season mats from Acura and they do have a lip around them to stop water from spilling onto the carpet. I'm very pleased with the quality.

Look at the front end of the mats - by the pedals. When I had my TL with the acura mats the water went to the front and spilled over to the carpet by the pedals. Several other people had complained about this issue with the acura mats.

They also look pretty cheap. I went to target and got some durable Rubbermaid ones. Fits perfectly and it was only $20 for four pieces! I drove in to the dealer the next day to get some stuff and my sales manager even told me "those are nice mats, where did you get them". They didn't believe it was twenty bucks. Also they keep the water in.

Thanks for the Target/Rubbermaid tip. I have gone through two winters with the all-weather Acura mats and they DO NOT hold water. As a result, I have salt all over the carpet in the front. In fact, I am having my car professionally detailed this mornign to get rid of the crap. And for this I paid the full price of $120 or whatever it was at the time.

Its not made exactly for the TL, but it fits pretty darn good. The only thing is that the gas lever is in the way ever so slightly.

Are the Rubbermaid floormats black or clear? Can they be trimmed to fit around the gas pedal? And without loosing the water catch protection?

They are black and yes you can trim around the gas opening not pedal with out loosing the watch catch protection.

For some reason I can't get the photos uploaded.
