All Dash and Console Button LED Locations

I've had a few bulbs out for a year+ now that have bothered me, but then I got used to over time. As I just
issue, I'm now a lot more confident pulling the console apart and putting back together.

With that said, I honestly forget where to expect some LEDs. For example, I believe both seat warmer buttons are rear illuminated (in addition to the amber 'On' light for each). I think all the climate control buttons around the Navi screen should be illuminated, but not certain. What about the MID buttons to the left of the driver's cluster, and where I can control the dash brightness, and switch min/max?

I've tried searching this forum and elsewhere online, but having a hard time finding out which buttons should be lit, and what color. I'm trying to avoid needing to buy more from Acura (or anywhere else cheaper?) and taking my car apart more than once because I discover I needed "just that one other" bulb for the repairs to be 100%.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Yes, you are correct. Each heated seat button has three bulbs (one lovely Acura green-colored bulb and two amber-colored bulbs), which are all "rear-illuminated." If you want to change the color of your bulbs, I highly recommend viewing the following thread:

This DIY is great (if done properly). I've followed many of DeathMetal's oter LED conversions and they are very useful. These are all located in the 3G garage under "G-100: DIY: LED Lighting For your TL!" (see link below).

Many of us have changed our bulbs to blue and white LEDs, which matchthe gauge cluster and looks much better in my opinion. There are Neo Wedge T3 bulbs you can purchase online that are plug-and-play for many of the bulbs within the interior. They're all over the place! I have to imagine these are much cheaper than buying straight from Acura/Honda, but I could be wrong. I've never checked the price of the OEM bulbs.

Additionally, yes the buttons surrounding the navigation screen and gauges should be illuminated as well. DeathMetal has great DIYs for these too.

Hopefully, this helps you out.

Thanks wusty!

I found some of these, but never the exact one. Having a look again in the G-100 section, I think I've found what I'm looking for and more. Will need to dig into the resistors, the Neo Wedge bulbs, etc. I think my thread can be officially closed, thanks!

Hey, no problem.

Yeah, doing research will definitely help. I would just like to point out that some (not all) T3 neo wedge bulbs can be bought already attached to a housing and have load resistors already soldered underneath the led bulb (See attached images):

The black resistor is underneath the LED bulb (i.e.hidden) if you can picture this. The resistor s extremely small and is typically attached by a robotic soldering machine. You can find these types of bulbs all over ebay and I have used these for over 20+ LED modifications without any issues. If you want to solder an LED to a circuit board, you can just "unwind" the LED prongs and take off the plastic housing. It's pretty easy once you do a few.. If you ask, I'm sure there are more reputable vendors out there, but ebay has worked for me thus far.

Have you found any source for lower intensity neo wedge LEDs? The brightness has been over the top on the ones I've tried.
