i just hit 15K. do i need to change the air filter? Also, rotating tires necessary? I got the A1 service on the MID and it is recommended.

  • Main Code What It Means
    • A Replace just the engine oil.
    • B Replace the engine oil and the oil filter, rotate the tires, inspect the front and rear brakes, check the parking brake adjustment, and inspect several other items listed in the O/M.
  • Sub-code What It Means
    • 1 Rotate the tires.
    • 2 Replace the air cleaner element, check the drive belt, and replace the dust and pollen filter.
    • 3 Replace the transmission fluid and transfer fluid (if equipped).
    • 4 Replace the spark plugs, replace the timing belt (if equipped), inspect the water pump, and inspect valve clearance.
    • 5 Replace the engine coolant.
    • 6 Replace the rear differential fluid (if equipped).

Looks like all you need is an oil change and a tire rotation if you follow the mid..

I got my air filter changed at 12k..

^ I changed my air filter at 19k and it was pretty dirty. The big variable is where you live. If you drive in a dusty/smoggy environment you will want to change the filter sooner than called for.

What you should really change out is the Cabin Air Filter- that thing gets amazingly dirty and this filters the air you breath while in the car. I'm changing my cabin filter on 15k intervals now based on what I saw my first change. There's a DYI that shows how to cut a access port behind the glovebox for making this change pretty painless.
