What do you mean? I thought this was a direct replacement? Just take the old grill off and put this in its place, and paint it if you want or leave it the way it is.

I was going to purchase this grill, get it painted NBP and then try to do a floating "A" symbol like a few others have done already. And yeah btw, this grill is already being talked about in the photo section.

^ In order for the grill to sit on the bumper, you need to cut off the center support beam/bar.

Yeah I saw that before. Actually someone around me has one and I actually got a chance to see one on the road, kind of tacky if you ask me, (the lightec "ACURA" brake light lettering).

As far as painting the grill by yourself, I guess I wouldn't mind giving it a shot, and if I do F it up then I can always take it to a shop. How can we get our paint in a spray can though? I am assuming you would have to spray a coat of primer let it dry and then our maybe 2 coats of our particular paint color and then a coat of clear? Does that sound about right?

Blacking out your grille will make your ride look almost as good as mine

I'd recommend 2 coats of clearcoat. An extra coat of clear will help protect against chipping.

Paintscratch.com has our paint in spray cans. When ordering, make sure to include the factory code when asked. The factory code is the 11th number of your VIN.

Cool Quick thought....

Just was wondering how this would look in Carbon Fiber? You wouldn't have to paint. Maybe it would be just to expensive? Just a thought....

Hahaha! Alright just visited that site, the materials itself would cost me about $80 to $90 bux shipped. Then plus the time I have to put in to do it, all for it to "possibly come out right". Doesn't seem to be worth it unless I'm ordering too much. I figured I'd need about 2 cans of each:

Primer: $11.50
Basecoat: $25 x 2
Clear Coat: $12.25 x 2
Shipping: $10

I don't think you need two cans of each to paint a small grille...isn't half a can enough for one coat?

i seen that grill on ebay too and thought about ordering it but it looked alil cheap though, and it does look like a direct replacement for the oem grill but i could be wrong. i do like the idea about having it cf like "spiritman" was talking about but that would be expensive unless you did it yourself

That does look good. Where can we get the carbon fiber trim pieces? Any pictures of the grill from a distance? Did you ever think of putting some type of emblem in the middle or to the right corner?
