Aftermarket front bumper??
I recently hit a tire driving on I95 and in need of a new bumper. Instead of going through insurance I want to try getting and aftermarket bumper painted and installed for about 500$. Does any one have any opinions?

With that price range, you might as well try and get an OEM one. You can get it shipped for about 250.00 (unpainted). Painting costs vary obviously.

go OEM...no reason to risk possible fitment issues with aftermarket. and don't cheapen out on the paint...be sure the painter is competent at what he's doing. otherwise you will have issues later on down the line (ie, bubbling, blistering, bad color match).

Just go OEM, A good chance for you to change over to the 07-08 bumper. I will cost you a little to get all the parts but IMO its worth it. I am still working on my conversion.

i recently bought an aftermarket bumper for my fiancee's (god i hate that word) honda civic. here is that same website for the acura bumper for your year. they painted hers to the OEM paint code but not sure if they paint all bumpers. either way it's cheaper than OEM. it took about 2 weeks to paint and ship from Texas to Cali.

Bumper is separate from the A-Spec kit. The A-Spec is just a small "spoiler" at the bottom of the bumper.
