AEM V2 Install Question...

In the middle of it here...instructions state to drain a gallon of coolant? Is that really neccessary? I've installed a few CAIs on a number of cars/trucks and the install on my TL-S has turned out to be the biggest PITA!

Thanks in advance for input...

no u don't need to drain it, but as you notice you need to disconnect the coolant hose and reconnect it because you are completely removing the stock metal jig hose connector thingy. when u disconnect it and it starts leaking just pour it into a styrofoam cup really fast (and point the hose upwards to stop it from leaking) and pour the coolant back into the resevoir when ur done.

^Thanks...

I did end up draining a couple of litres of coolant, so when I removed the metal tube loom, none came out...so that was good.

Still, like I said previously, one of the biggest PITA installs that I've ever done. And the AEM instructions blow.

However, the sound that the V2 makes at WOT was totally worth the price of admission. My TL-S sounds downright pissed, when the VTEC kicks in....feels a bit more peppy too according to my butt dyno.

But....mine does whistle, contrary to what others have said about the V2.

Now...on to the Konis install....
