Why repost? There is already a thread generated for AEM, I think about 2 of them out there.

Blk, do you notice that the AEM intake isn't even loud at all when you hit the gas pedal hard? Mine's so silent!

Looks awesome....but wait is there a growl or isn't there, is there a pickup in performance or isn't there?

Smoke TL - Didn't get a chance to swing over to East Coast on Friday. I actually found Billy's business card...I'll probably give them a call and ask about how much w/installation.

bklynpanman,

Hi, thanks for the reply. I think it's the exhaust that drowned my intake sound out. My exhaust is so loud that I can barely hear anything else.. hehe.. but having the intake there, does speed up the car a bit.. not so much but good enough to notice it.

thanks!

Don't they have to be C.A.R.B. exempt or pending C.A.R.B. exemption (50-state legal)? I heard the one for the TL is not C.A.R.B. legal.

SmokeTL: You guys are lucky.

bklynpanman: When I put on my gold plated curb feelers and my hub cap spinners my ride will be so pimp. Then you will be jealous. Pimpin aint easy baby but someone gots to do it.

What's the point of spending over $200 bucks just for a growl with no performance increase what so ever. However, in the other thread someone stated a 19hp gain which I find too good to be true. But do you have a 5AT or 6spd??

FYI, there is a performance increase with the AEM intake. I have a 6MT and rpm seems to rise quicker with CAI installed. There is an increase but just don't know how much.. my friend is still trying to schedule a dyno for my car.

I have the 6mt To me it is worth it just for the growl.. sounds alive now.. won't know exact performance increase until dynoed. it's not forced induction,it's only a CAI so it can't be that significant.
