Advice for newbie seeking to upgrade

This is probably a dumb question but besides looking at a car parts catalog is there a place I could go for a list of different upgrades, there are some obvious ones like rims, spoilers, etc. but I would like to know of other mods or upgrades that I could do right now without spending a lot (I'm between jobs)

Search this site and you will find what you need. What do you want to do first?? Audio, performance, suspension, body??

I should have been clearer in my post, I'm mainly interested in looks right now, I'm starting with the basics (spoiler, tint), but I don't want to get new rims until I wear out my stocks
