Advice needed guys.
Spoke with the owner, here's the list.. (said it wasn't even washed and waxed for these pics, looks pretty damn clean figuratively speaking too)
2005 Acura TL A-Spec
81K miles NJ car, garaged with first and now current owner
2nd owner
Clean Title
$3k sound system included
A-Spec kit all around
A-Spec rims included
Tein Basic coilover
TL-S quad exhaust
07-08 side mirrors
Full TL-S two tone interior
TL-S dash light setup
Nav
He wanted $15k originally, now down to $13,500.
What do you think guys?
This would be my first car ever.. Need opinions.

interesting that they FULLY converted the interior.
the dash and steering wheel and LCD bar ontop of the nav.
to the OP, I would get it inspected by a mechanic. a Pre-purchase inspection, if you will.
if all checks out, I would grab it for 13.5!!

Wow, I was fooled, I thought it was a Type-S, the 3.2 VTEC gave it away. I say do it, it looks super clean and if it's garage kept that's even better. Definitely look at the car though, top to bottom. Check for rust and stuff too being it's a NJ car.
Yeah he told me he invested a lot on that interior and I told him.. "oh dude I know you did trust me"
Sounds like a really good guy, didn't really care that he invested so much on the sounds too but I'm totally ok with it having such a system in there.
He told me he did that conversion because he couldn't find a TL-S in that color when he was hunting so he prepped that car.. It looks like it needs TL-S or 07-08+ headlights right?
The car looks clean as **** tbh.
I have been hunting a WDP with black leather but considering the price difference between one I'd find and all the **** this has done it would probably be a 3-4.5k price difference for a stock WDP compared to this right?

the front end is a dead give away, as well!

Yep he has all the previous maintenance info and all the vins (areas) etc ready for me to check them he said. I told them that if I liked it after seeing it I'll run the carfax and then mechanic check at a shop.
He was telling me the second I saw the car after it was cleaned/waxed up how much I would love it in person and I definitely agree with that.. This looks so clean.

Yeah, now I see it
OP, it's still a sweet deal for the $ he's dumped in it. But if you really, really want a WDP, keep looking and get what you want. Who knows, someone could even be selling a real Type-S for just a little more. Good luck in whatever you purchase though!

-type-s headlights.
-type-s bumper.
A)type-s Grills
B)type-s fogs
C)type-s A-bar
It doesn't need them but some people prefer them for the look, but if they serve a purpose where you live, by all means, they're a helpful mod. I'm not huge into fogs because I live in FL and they won't be of much use other than aesthetics.
EDIT: Whoops, I thought you meant fogs in general, not for the Type-S front.

Orig owner was a 46 y/o guy and kept it garaged as I was told.
What you mean by flipped, sorry I'm new to car ownership scene lol.. This car has a lot of work put into it, looks mint on the exterior.
The guy I'm talking to is a truck driver, explains the cars location atm I think on some of the pics.

Wow...he did the ENTIRE interior, gauges and all. Crazy.
When did the 3.2 valve covers change? Mine doesn't look anything like that. I would have thought 04-06s would have been the same? Anyone care to comment?

He told me his cover covered more or something, I'm not that familiar with the engine cover lol
i threw away my covers, so i dont remember....but they do look odd.
I hate to be the pessimist- why all that work (which looks great by the way), and then sell it? Prior wreck with salvage title or a clean title? $13.5K sounds kind of cheap (even for a stock 05 TL). Where in NJ is the seller?
KBB private party prices are as follows (for an 05 with Navi):
$15,675 Excellent
$15,175 Very Good
$14,775 Good
$13,325 Fair
Sorry to be a skeptic. For all the work that went into that car, I'd expect him to try to sell it for $20K or so. On the other hand, it might be a huge win for you if all checks out. Good luck!

I might go see the car tomorrow and get the carfax or w/e and all the other pre-purchase steps.
Well I think it came with the nav, it's an original A-spec 05 TL. But yeah lots of money man.
