Advice on minor scrapes!
I purchased an 06-TL last month and so far I love the car. Unfortunately a day or so ago a woman leaving the Boca Town Center Mall in a rush to get home after her holiday shopping swerved over into my lane.
It caused some very minor damage...my drivers side mirror was scraped and my passenger side wheel has a 2" scuff mark along the outside edge of the wheel where I hit the curb in trying to avoid her.
I went to my local Acura dealer and got a quote of $170.00 to fix the mirror and $150.00 to fix the rim. At first they wanted to sell me an entirely new mirror at $300+.
I definately want to get the mirror fixed...should I go through Acura or shop it around some body shop? I have NBP paint.
Is the $150 for a rim repair a fair price? It's very minor and I am considering that I just hold off in case of another "scrape". I must say that I have the Michellin tires which have a very interesting side-wall which I think leaves the wheel a bit more exposed than other cars. I had a Maxima with alloy wheels and I know I hit the curb at least a couple of times without incurring damage to the wheels.
Anyway...I'm open to any thoughts and advice.

I assume the other driver did not stop so you have to foot the entire bill. The prices seem reasonable. You may be able to find a bodyshop that will charge less, but make sure that they do quality paint work, not just cheap work.
