Adios TL Forum

Well kids I did what I never thought I would do, but I traded my 2005 6mt TL for a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser. I loved the trouble free TL for as long as I had owned it but with the Winters in N.E. I had to take the wife's 2010 Ford Edge to work leaving her stranded as she works from home but still, was a concern for me.
Stick your ground when and if you're trading your TL, there is a large market out there for the 3rd Gen TL.

Thread fixed. Like was mentioned earlier, you're more than welcome to hang out. I also had to get rid of my 08 TL-S. And even though I don't own an Acura I still get on here. It's good your taking care of the wife.

Head on over to Ramblings. I don't think anyone over there owns a TL anymore. I'm rolling around in a Tahoe myself. Not only that, but the last thing we talk about is cars....

to bypass your work's filters or just filters in general
1. you download firefox mobile app onto a flash drive --> http://mobilefirefox.com
2. you plug it into your work comp --> go to your user folder --> right click --> click on share with --> type F:\ (or whatever drive that would be next)
3. open it up and go to acurazine.com or whatever you want

good luck (: i used this while i was workin @ T-Mobile

Hang out in Ramblings HEK.. I have been fortunate to get behind the wheel of a FJ. I liked it but the blind spots are ridiculous. I felt like I was driving a H3. I hope the FJC treats you well!

I guess I don't plan on actually leaving Acurazine, as to be really honest, the TL is the BEST car I've ever owned and who knows, maybe one day when Honda gets serious and re-designs the hood and trunk, I may trade the FJ for a SH AWD TL, but maybe I'll just save my money and buy some property in Costa Rica and take my FJ along ...lol....

A set of snow tires would have been a lot cheaper than the FJ.

I said the same thing last Winter, unfortunately when it snowed and I was at work, by the time I got home I had a few feet of snow in my driveway and more on the skirt, meaning I had to park across the street, walk to the garage start the snow blower and make a path so that I can park the TL for the night. The next morning I found my skirt full of snow as the plows had made their paths numerous times and I needed to clear that (snow that is pushed from the street to your driveway has to be shoveled as it is too thick to push thru the snow blower) and along with that, the drive to and from work would be slow and filled with worrieds that either I would go off the road and or break my front bumper as I plowed my way in towns that have low budgets for snow clearing.
Besides since 2006 I had my eye on the FJ but loved the TL that trading it would be a sin. I guess I'm being more practical and lost the "attachment to a machine".
I would have bought a 370Z which is my dream car and I would have gotten a company discount but....it's worse on the snow than the TL..
Friends of mine can't believe I went from a "sport/ luxury sedan" to a truck/ ugly SUV..but I guess I 'm looking at a more practical machine that will take me everywhere anytime and the wifey can use at any time...
................so who is looking for Summer tires and rims that were used for 2 Summers ...and I'll throw in a 5th brand new tire as a "spare" w/out a rim of course..PM for pics and $$
