Acurazine 3G TL "Spotted in the Wild" Thread
Thought it would be cool to see how many members we can actually find out there driving around. I frequently see some pretty cool TL's around the Raleigh/ Triangle area but can never catch good pics out there. Anyone got cool shots from your neck of the woods?

There's a silver Type S a few blocks from me, I once followed them home and waved but couldn't stop to chat as I had to get my groceries home.
My coworker also said my car's twin blew past him right near our work, so I know there's another KBP around.
Passed a black Type S on the freeway and waved but it was a chick on her phone and she didn't see me. Hope she doesn't wreck it while texting.
I actually waved at guy in an incredibly clean NBP base at my neighborhood grocery store, but he was maneuvering and couldn't return it.

Today I got on the freeway for the homebound cruise. Just before this freeway splits (114 splits to 114 & 183) I spot a very familiar tush up ahead - KBP Type S!
I jam on it to catch up - he's taking the right fork and I need the left! I honked and went left, and waved. He slowed, and while we were even with a concrete barrier between us he gave me a big thumbs up thru his sunroof. I got a huge warm fuzzy from this.

Yeah Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Live in Hurst, work downtown Dallas. It's all freeways & urban sprawl.
I work on Lemmon Ave in Dallas. Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Acura, Mini, Tesla, Aston Martin, and McLaren dealerships within a few blocks. I see amazing cars all the time. I think I've seen more Huracans than 3G TL-'s.
One of these days I will get my old tolltag transferred to my S and go play on the Dallas Wangan - the 635 toll lane canyon.

I live in New Orleans (Metairie) but have made a few trips up to DFW and Love Field to plane spot over the past decade. Pretty familiar with where 114 is.
Not sure about Hurst, but I've been through Dallas, Allen, Carrollton, Coppell, Frisco, Grapevine, Terrell, Arlington, Denton, Irving, Garland... I can't remember all of the towns off hand...
It's definitely cool place though...

Seats were still too low, even all of the way up and the dash was too high, I felt like I was drowning in the interior. Sat too low to the ground. The doors would slam on me all of the time. Rear cup holders were more like rocket launchers and no door cup holders. Trunk was small. Mirriors were small and I side swiped a pole with the rear quarter and the mirrors didn't help me much. Turning radius was worse than a Suburban. And it just felt big and heavy on the road. No light on it's feet feeling. It just felt like a big car.
Don't get me wrong... I love the 3G... It's just that the 7G Accord suits my needs far better and mostly gives the same satisfaction to drive and own...
I don't miss my TL much... I really wanted a TSX but given how much oomph I want under my right foot, it wouldn't suffice...
Lately, my thing has been to turn TCS off and drive in first gear at like 20 mph and tap the gas and break traction.
Got a 6.86 second 0-60 on it earlier, over 1/2 tank of gas and some cargo!!!

I just remembered I read that a few years ago!
Yeah... I generally find that the non-luxury variant of a car is usually more practical and not that much different... Camry XLE vs ES 300, Maxima vs G35... Like that...

Honda Fit sport FTW, gas saver, cheap to maintain and yet the hatch cargo space is super good with all the seat fold down.

Accords are always great cars, they kinda cemented Honda's place in the automotive world. I once daily'd a '92 coupe for a couple years.

Those car's have almost the cago capacity of a CR-V with those Magic Seats!
Each to their own. Some of the points you make are positive for me, as I'm loving the big low roadhog car and plan to lower it even more. I do agree the mirrors are small, I need some stick-on convex mirrors to get the big blind spots.

When I worked in Gulfport, one of our custoners had a 1992 EX Couoe in Rosewood Gold and it was near mint!
That's why I'm loving the Accord. It just does everything so well... It's smooth like a Lexus on the baulavard but roars like lion on WOT and handles the twisties almost exactly like my base TL and still returns a 22-26 MPG average on regular 87 octane gas!
It just changes moods with me. Kind of like a nice pair of jeans. They dress up, they dress down and they never rip!

I know a guy with 18" subs and some thick amps in place of the back seats of his Fit. It was brutal, the poor little Honda slowly being shook apart. But dat bass tho - he went to a competition and they moved him to the Truck Class as he was far beyond the other compact cars. This was 2 years ago, he's probably deaf now.

I actually see quite a lot around Portland, OR. Several in my neighborhood. I don't think I could travel 5 miles without seeing one on a day to day basis. Not using road salt probably helps overall longevity over here at the least.

It's one of the main subsections for 3G TL.
