I pay $1150/ 6 months for my TL & RX-8 with 21st century, though I think the rate for Mercury can be even lower!

TL do better at the start...but RX-8 will pick up and eventually win the race. BTW, using V-power do help the performance for RX-8.

Damn dude!! 6 g's!! That's insane! Go to www.lowermybills.com I got really cheap insurance there. You fill out the form and they let you know who will give you the cheapest insurance. One thing to remember, driving record and age are not the only thing that will determine your insurance costs. If you have a bad credit record, it will jack up your costs also. I'd guess most people that have a 35,000 dollar car don't have bad credit though.

wow! And here I was complaining about my $850 a year rate. Then again, to paraphrase what a gentleman said in an earlier post, I'd happily pay the extra $$$ to take back the years!

Well..

Alot of people are forgetting, your insurance rates depend VERY heavily on where you live too. If you live in the middle of no where your insurnace is going to be dirt cheap. I live in the Northeast, and rates are generally higher than say Nebraska NJ still has the highest base rates in the country and has for over the past 10 years.

Nah, we don't necessarily have it "good", we were once where you are and paid what you are paying. :-) We all go through the cycle unfortunately.

I'm paying $856/yr, single, perfect record, 100/300/100 covg, no deductibles. That's not too bad. And it only went up about $150/yr over my 2000 Accord EX.

OMG! No way would I pay the $$$ to take the years back. I've lived it and loved it, but no interested in going back. Now, I wouldn't mind holding still for a while

Funny that the quote I got for a TSX was higher than for a TL (around 850$CAD/yr)

FWIW 37 male, married. 27 miles each way to work 5d/week. 15,000 miles per year. No accidents or points since a teen. $634.33 for 6 months $500 deductible, $300,000/$500,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property plus rental reimbursement. On the other hand my wife's Suburban (03) is only $411 every 6 months for same coverage. This in Kansas City area and USAA insurance.

wow I guess I don't feel so bad. I think I'm about 1,000/6mo for both my 98 Accord EX, and the 04 TL.

That's with USAA, never had any other insurance since I started driving so I'm a long term customer.

I'm 32, no accidents in many years, no tickets in 4 or 5 years. TL is the primary car for now.

Is Geico giving good deals for Jersey? I know they just started insuring here, but I didn't know if it was impossible to get with them....

i moved off of Geico over to Allstate when i got my TL. Allstate saved me a boat load of $$$. the savings offset the cost of TL insurance premiums, so adding my TL left me at the same rate as i was when i had Geico without my TL.

i'm in NY and i have 3 vehicles on the plan.

i found Geico kept increasing my policy rates while my 4runner and tacoma kept getting older, so i moved away from Geico. i had geico for more than 6 years when i moved to Allstate.

I am under 400 for 6 mo in Il. your age has a lot to do with your cost as well as having any tickets.

I feel very fortunate.

I pay $410 a year for $250K per person, $500K per accident, with collision with a $100 deductible. I don't drive the car to work, I take the stinkin' bus. So, my car is insured for pleasure driving only, < 8,000 per year.

I have been with Erie Insurance Co. for > 15 years. My wife's 2002 Highlander is insured with them as well. $396. Multicar discount. I'm 53.

I have a good record, a sprinkling of speeding tickets. The last one was 5 years ago.

I get discounts for alarm (very small, I think), multiple airbags, and anti-lock brakes -- the same goes for everyone here.

Gieco was too pricy ( so much for their commercials) Allsate gave me the best rate, $694 per 6 months in NY and it will be $639 per 6 months after I renew my defensive driving (10% discount).

Then when March 2006 runs around (full 5 yrs since my last accident) it will be $604 per 6 months or $580 after the 10% discount.

$4500 yr for the 04 TL in Northern NJ. Man, I cannot believe how cheap some of your insurances are. But in NJ, everything is getting to be ridiculously expensive. POS homes in my town are going for $600,000.

you should be able to get a little bit of a cheaper deal. shop around. my insurance is just under $3000 for the year.

It blows my mind going through the newspaper seeing 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, houses going for $330,000+
