Automotive Concepts interior kit

I actually thought about getting the "B" pillars in Carbon Fiber, but without the TL logo on it-as shown. It comes with the gas cap portion too, which looks really cheesy (especially with the TL logo on it), but they should offer it without the TL logo as well.
Sorry a little off topic...hate that I can't PM yet.

Steve, anymore info on the interior kits by AC? I tried their website and failed...I took a look through your Garage profile and your CF interior turned out great! Did you just apply it over your OEM dash kit, because it looks damn good.

Please PM me back some more info/post up really interested...

Thanks

Thanks Slick! I couldn't PM you because you don't have enough posting yet. But I really love the Carbon Fiber kit! I got mine through another member here on Acurazine, but if you go to www.nycdashes.com, you can find the same Carbon Fiber interior trim kit.

Took two and a half weeks to arrive, but I finally got my letter inserts tonight. Unfortunately my adhesive promoter stick was also completely dried out. I emailed customer service to get a new one sent. To those that had the same problem and applied the inserts without the adhesive promoter, how have the results been? Would you recommend waiting for my replacement to arrive or just install them without it?

Thanks!

I think mine was dried too on arrival.. the directions said to break at the dot.. which i did and the directions said it was suppose to ooze or something.. well i broke at the dot but the foam part was still dried.. i tried breaking it in some more but still the same. I still used it but whatever. Just make sure you wash the front bumper/inside the letters etc with soap, completely dry it, then use the alcohol wipes that came with the kit and apply the letters on. The summer heat will also set the adhesion into the grooves i dont think its going to come off

Sounds like a plan, thanks for the help.

Any recommendations for a nbp?

Can't really figure out what would be a good pairing. I was thinking maybe a dark blue or a white maybe?

Any input welcome, thanks guys!

Try E-bay or you can go to http://www.automotiveconcepts.net select your vehicles make, model and year and search and then click on dash kits there price is pretty pricey.

^^Pricey? yes Quality? Much better than some of the eBay items. These are true 3D dome decals. Note that they are produced on an as-ordered basis and delivery times may be longer than you are used to. Definitely worth the wait.

I applied my letters in late March 2009, and they were holding up well until around New Years when my mom noticed the the R and A at the end fell off. Now I drive an 'ACU' lol. My promoter stick was dry too, but I just used the alcohol wipes and put them on. I will probably order another full set and just use the R and A from the new set unless I can get the other 3 letters off.

I love the look of mine (silver to match the grill), and would recommend them. I probably should have waited to apply them when the weather wasnt damp but I was impatient lol.

Mine date back about that far, as well. PSULou & I got our AM TLs from the same dealer at about the same time! Still going strong.
Lou---haven't seen you on the boards for a while. Got any new pics or mods to share?

This really ticks me off!!! I'm in MD, just got a TL I picked up for a steal (hit in the front) beautiful front bumper, and paint job - guess what?

I have to cover it up with a butt ugly MD license plate and the holder...

I might look into mounting it low like I've done on a Saleen Mustang, but think the bumper is just too low and my wife will rip the sucker off (she's a great driver, but can see it happening).

I ran for years without front license plates in MD - no problems. Until a few years ago and we got pulled over three times (one ticket, one inspection ticket, and my wife got away with a verbal...)

SOOO, now we have em on the cars.

^^No, that is NOT the 3D Dome sticker. That is just a vinyl decal. While it may work, it won't be raised like the ones we are talking about from here: http://www.automotiveconcepts.net

Unfortunately I dont have any new mods. Only thing I had to 'mod' was the left tailpipe surround of my A-Spec kit since I backed into a curb and somehow part of the plastic got in front of the tailpipe and molded itself around it a bit. I had to cut/dremel the plastic to get it away from blocking the opening. I am a good driver on the road, just a clumsy one with parking lol.

I have been looking at trying to get some rims (A-Spec or some other simple 5 spoke type rims), but not sure I want to spend that type of money yet, even though I have it lol.

I was actually just looking for the vinyl sticker. I like the way it dips into the bumper.

Here you go. It isn't exactly easy to find, but I've done it twice since 2 of my letters fell off and I was annoyed at driving an "ACU" lol, so I just got another set.

Unfortunately it looks like they don't have any more dash kits either. That stinks! Hope the new letters I got don't fall off.

With great sadness, I finally got around to putting the emblem over the very nice front bumper of my TL.

It is the license plate holder and MARYLAND license plate.

BUTT ugly...

I did mount it upside down to lower it though.

Now to teach my wife (and myself) not to get too close to any parking stops or curbs... I may turn it right side up, not sure.

Anybody know who is still selling these decals? Checked Veneerz, AutomotiveConcepts, eBay, and Googled...turned up nothing. Looking to get the chrome lettering, domed if possible.
