Acura Spoiler

I received my spoiler off of ebay yesterday. Everything looked good, however I have just one question. I could have sworn that the spoilers at the Dealership that were currently on the 04 TLs had an Acura symbol on the bottom of the spoiler, right in the middle (almost as if it replaced the LED light). Mine is smooth, and no symbol. Was I imagining things, or did I not receive a true Acura spoiler?

I saw the spoiler on a car, and therefore didn't notice the underside, but if it was pronounced or noticeable, I think I would have seen it.

Just check with your dealers service or parts department.

yes there is a Acura logo under the spoiler. i have one on my TL. I think you got a fake. but hey i don't think anyone would take the time to look under there. All that really matters is that it looks good.

I second that. I noticed it twice on both test drives. Acura logo, right in the middle of the wing.

I'm not sure it matters if you have the logo or not, but I hope you got a good deal.

Fakes available for under $200. The "real thing" is selling online for $350. Which did you pay for? If it was under (or near) $200, you got the right thing. If it was $350 then you need to contact the seller and get it corrected.

What do you think of this spoiler?

I was thinking one of these would be cool, but in a burly wood to match the wood inside (not on my car of course).

If it's a fake, I didn't make it. I think it looks legit anyway. There are certainly more bizarre things out there!

If it's a fake, I wonder about the paint and/or clear coat on it... as in, fading or differing fade-rates over other parts of the car.

I paid $499 for mine as a dealer installed option when I bought the car and it does have the emblem. What the he#$ though, if the paint wears out on it you could buy almost two more for what you paid compared to the dealer price.

I would stick with OEM, 1 cause they're prepainted, 2 they come with instructions including drilling templates. They're pretty idiot proof. You can get the lip spoiler for $300 on EBay...it's worth the difference IMHO.
