Question Acura Care Question...

I thought that I'd check the forum first before placing a call to Acura.

My car is about to go into the body shop for 3 days for repair on October 23rd(thanks to a skilled golfer that drove it right into my car-LOL).

Here is my situation:
Normally, if my car was going in for "service" the dealer would provide a loaner car. My dealer doesn't have a body shop at their location (due to municipal zoning laws), so I have to take it to their "preferred" body shop for repair. Thus, me not being able to get a loaner vehicle from the dealer.

So I looked at the Acura Care and there is available Rental Car Reimbursement. Does anyone know if this would apply to my situation?

Either the insurance or the person at fault/paying for the repair will cover the rental.

Just think of it as going directly to a bodyshop...

Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately, the person that whacked the golf ball into my car didn't come forward so my own insurance company listed it as vandalism; so in essence, I am paying for it.

Well hello there, Darkness!
Hope that all is well with you too!

Yep - finally getting it fixed. I made the appt a month ago after I posted and that was the earliest I could be scheduled. And yep - 3 freaking days! AGH!

The b/f says we'll commute to work together on those days, but I hate being without a car. I feel helpless; I mean...what if I have that awful urge over lunch to go to the mall and then I don't have a car! JK.
So........I'm trying to find out whether I can get into a rental without incurring any expense to me.

Take care you!

NO, Acura Care will not cover your rental car charges in this situation.

Can you drop it with your dealer, pick up a rental car and have THEM take it to the body shop.

P.S. This is why I take my wifes car to the golf course..

All is well on my side , actually grad school sucks but i got promoted in the Fire Dept. so that makes up for grad school sucking so much...lol I'd let you borrow my TL, at least i'd know you knew how to handle it...(just keep it away from the golf course/driving range) but i have to send mine in for an alignment issue its so bad i actually get nauseas from having to correct the steering wheel while accelerating...
