Accord Fogs Again

I was wondering if the Accord fogs passed light through glass or some other material. I have a setup that passes the light through some type of material other than glass, seems like a heavy duty plastic that is warped from the intensity of the bulb.

A few members were lucky enough to get glass but the knock offs I bought off ebay are plastic. Maybe the super expensive OEM ones are glass? Did you put a higher wattage bulb in yours?

I have actually never installed them before. I have had them for about a month now, bought off a member here. I don't think he installed them either but the person who did put some yellow bulbs in there. They are not HIDs but I'm assuming they are bright because the plastic or whatever it is, is warped.

Any way to fix this? Possibly replacing the plastic for another material?

I would have to guess your best bet is to buy new fogs. I can't image it is worth it or possible to have just the lens replaced especially seeing how they are $60 new. I actually have never turned mine on but have read everywhere not to put high wattage bulbs in because they melt the housing I would be pissed if i bought some melted housings and wasnt told (assuming you werent)

Oh def get them fixed or replaced because i think they look great

I have HIDs in my Ebay lights and they haven't warped though I have been warned many times about that. I think the problem is with the 55+ Watt halogen bulbs. My HIDs run cooler at 35 watts so I think you'd be safe doing the same. I paid only $80 for my "cheapo" kit but it works perfectly and looks great. Think about it, those $20 yellow bulbs go out in 3 months......might as well go HIDs, you won't regret it.
