AC Delco transmission fluid

Good afternoon Acurazine,

I ordered GM Synchromesh from GMpartsgiant.com and I received ACDelco tranny fluid.
Is this the same product ? can anybody share experiences with this ?

If your talking about "Friction Modified" then yes it is the same as long as it's AC Delco part number 88900399 (also called 10-4014).

Pace Performance can't get the GM bottle anymore so now they sell the AC Delco bottle. AC Delco used to just put their label over top of the GM labels (same bottle). Now I think their bottles are white or something like that.

94eg! knows his stuff. Posts good usable info and has for a long time. I'd take it on faith that the AC Delco is the same stuff if he says it is.

It's just regurgitated info that was posted in another friction-modified trans fluid thread on here...

And yes, many many many people have used this stuff in Hondas all across the board. I just bought 2 quarts of it last week because my trans is getting notchier now that it's getting cold out. I already had my 3rd gear synchro replaced under the service bulletin about 2 or 3 years ago.

I can tell you for sure this stuff makes Honda manual transmissions shift smoother. After a botched dealer rebuild in my wife's 03 Element, our 3rd gear was very notchy and occasionally pop out. I switched this manual trans fluid, and we never had a bad shift again after that.

I know this is beat to death, but I just the GM stuff I had around for a year in the 08 which had a very minor 3rd gear engagement issue and the was blow away. I just bought (AC Delco) for the 04. I'm curious to see how it is in a transmission without any issue but more miles. Just to see how close the two shift in comparison to each other.
