About to start the MOD voyage...

ok so i have had my 07 TL for a while now and i've always wanted to mod the crap out of it haha. i have been doing a lot of research and have been watching people try new things on their cars. and this summer, im pretty sure it will all begin!!

so, heres my list so far:
- Aspec kit (type S) + type S bumper. all of which need to be painted CGP.
(i know you can cut up the reg bumper, but i wanna keep parts so i can put them all back on when i sell the car in the future.)

- blacked out tail lights (except for the white parts)

- quad exhaust (either OEM type-s or ATLP)

- AEM CAI

- custom headlights. LED strip plus possible halos.

- rear lip spoiler (painted CGP)

- cool vinyl ACURA lettering for front bumper...

- possibly an acurazine sticker or something to add 500 hp.

so...i think the aspec, bumper, and lip will need to be done together...cuz then i can get them all painted at the same time. also, idk if i really want the side skirts...

anyone in OC (92692 area) wanna mod their car with me???

ill prob start with simple things...not sure where to begin tho...

Just do it!

My journey started with a K&N CAI and it was downhill from there. Haven't looked back and couldn't be happier with all I've done to the car.

Good list you got!

IMO, slap the sideskirts on there too...it just flows well with the kit all together, just my

Another easy mod (and won't cause you a single penny), i just recently did this mod as well, is to "shorten" your door locks - since they're quite long and get in the way when you have your arm up by the window.

Good luck with everything, but JDI...summer's coming!!!

There is no way you can take the A-SPEC lips off and go back to a regular bumper and look normal. The A-SPEC lips have to have holes drilled into the stock bumpers anyway to attach to them. So save the money and keep the stock bumpers and put the A-SPEC lips on them.

How did you go about shortening your door locks? I notice they get in the way too lol There's really no point of having them IMO.

yea i know you gotta drill. and since i dont have a type S, i would need to cut up my bumper. so i was thinking, just take that bumper off and save it somewhere. and get a type S bumper + type S aspec kit and have them both painted (since there is no CGP type S). and in the future, if i wanted to sell the car, i would just throw the original bumper back on.

i agree i guess cuz its 775 shipped for the entire body kit (group buy).

i think one more easy mod is prob tint film on the tail lights for now...see how it looks before i get them tinted for reals. i think ill get a new set of taillights if i decide to tint them from the inside since i want to keep parts if i decide to swap things back.

You can't buy one. You can get one by donating to AZ's annual charity drive.

If I remember right, the Type-S bumpers will still need some custom fitting. I think someone mentioned that they're a tad longer & do not fit perfectly on a 3.2.

Good plans! Instead of blacking out your headlights and tails like mine, you should color match them to your car. I think they would flow better

Good luck with whatever you decide to do! You have good plans
