Exclamation About to order some stuff off Amazon.....Any cheap mods to do????

Spring break is coming up for me.. thought I could have the TL on jacks for a day or two if i need it. I'm ordering up around 10ft of gloss black vinyl to mess with my grill, moleskin to protect my newly tinted windows that after 6 days I have yet to roll down, and some other materials to fix the curb rash on my rims/paint them

Are there any cheap mods to do that I could buy off Amazon? I mean I might as well since I'm ordering from there. Like license plate LEDs or the interior LEDs.. anybody know some good products?

VLEDs is probably your best option for LEDs, but the bulbs are standard size so it's possible to find them on Amazon, but I can't vouch for their quality. I'd get some wax and cleaning products-- the best mod is having a sexy clean car, so that's a good start.

BTW, cool to see another teenager with a TL on the site

Yeah I really posted this as a shot in the dark to see if anyone has tested anything off amazon for the quality seeing as they're usually cheap and I have prime shipping But I keep a pretty good stock of cleaning products.. I wish I could pay a friend to come do a quality wash I'm too lazy to do it which isn't good

but yeah I definitely feel like a high roller in high school with a TL.. sad thing is I wont wanna drive a non-luxury/car-with-less-hp the rest of my life I feel spoiled haha

@Jklaz. Im also about to be doing the same. From what I read VLED is the best place to get everything. I also see that you're extremely local. Ive got a couple other local guys with TL's in the area. Let me mw know if youre ever around Lexington. Gryphn (another local member) has a beautiful car, and hes been giving me advice pretty much daily on where to go and get everything
Let us know what you get!

If these LEDs don't work out i'll definitely look into VLED I'm just doing whats convenient at the moment. But yeah we're just across the dam! I'll definitely tell you if I'm ever over there like to see some other TL's around the area that'd be cool.

I currently live in Lex, but we mostly hang out in triangle city in West Cola. Ill hit you up next time we cruise out to Harbison or something.
/offtrack and back to thread!

You can also look into things like lug nuts, or the smoked rear side markers depending on your price range.

on topic:
somehow lug nuts have slipped my mind this whole time.. If I plan on blacking out my wheels/grill and essentially the whole car I cant have the stock lug nuts haha this is turning out to be an expensive DIY project

off topic:
but do you ever drive on Lake Murray Blvd around the intersection with St Andrews? I'm over there all the time and see a lot of TL's.. but since it's usually at night its hard to tell whether its just some old lady or a lightly modded one

Thats how it is with everything. I planned on my SI to be a nice DD, now forged bottem end, and a 60trim snail lol. I dont plan on going nearly that far with this car as it is and will remain my daily

I have. I have to work out at the autozone on St.Andrews road sometimes. I literally right across the damn on the Lexington side. Up by Lowes. And mine still sits bone stock as of right now so you wouldnt be able to tell it was me anyway haha. Few financial things I need to take care of before I can do any of my plans. If I am out that way Im usually in the SI.

I'm close to the harbison forest so not as much right by the dam but within 10 minutes. I'm guessing from your name that you're referencing the 1999 2dr civic si? I always called those ones the 'happy civic's because they look happy when theyre stock. Just overall the headlights do. But I love a nicely modded em1

anyways I think I'm just going with the vinyl, moleskin and LEDs because I want them in soon and was just looking for quick suggestions

Let me know how you make out with the amazon LED, and which company you decide to buy through. If they work, Ill be getting the same.

Those are some good mods in there but not much is cheap enough to be on amazon just for the sake of the thread i looked through them. Definitely some good cheap things to do though

theres a cheap mod that you can do to the front bumper called Domed Decalz. They are so much better than the cheap ebay vinyl ones and look 100% better too. Just go to domeddecalz.com and order. I have a set on mine and I know a lot of other people that have them too!

Sorry if this is a highjack.

Which VLED bulbs should I use in the driving lights to match the HID headlights on my 07 TL Type-S ?? Its been several years since I bought them .

VLED is the best IMO

Have a Great Day Folks
