this is what they quoted me for starters, no haggling yet.
sounds like a decent starter with all those options. also keep in mind that they dont have this car on the lot. they would have to order it for me. so theres no incentive for them to want to get it out by the end of the month.
thoughts?
[edit] i guess its good that its new. then i can specify plastic protective sheet on the hood (no waxing), no dealer sticker on the rear of the car, and no front lisence plate bracket dealie [/edit]

If your trading in a car, be careful as you are probably aware they will give you a lower price on the car and decrease your trade.

I say throw out the MSRPP out the window and work with the invoice price that can be found at the many online car buying sites. Be aware that the invoice prices are not necessarily what the dealers pay for the car but without the inside information, it's a good starting point. I would start to offer $500 less than invoice and reluctantly increase the offer in $100 increments. They may think you're high on crack, but hang in there. A ballpark figure to shoot for would be about $300 to $500 above invoice. Remember again that the invoice is not necessarily the actual price the dealer paid for the car and also various loaded incentives reward the dealer for the number of sales for a given period. Leave your keys on the bargaining desk and whenever they counteroffer with their higher price, start reaching for the keys like you're ready to leave and hold firm or counter again. This may work or not depending on you skills negotiating the deal. I spent over 4 hours at a northern Ca dealership and got the car at $350 over invoice and the closer (finance guy) came up empty when it came time to sell me the special wax, scotchguard nonsense, and the extended warranty. Oh yeah, forget about paying for the wheel locks, trunk tray, door edge guards, mudflap. Those things are freebies. Good luck.

Here is the Consumer Reports(CR) Price Breakdown for a Navi/TL:
Base Invoice....................... 34,650
Destination Charge............... 545
Base MSRP.......................... 35,195
Base Invoice........................ 31,575
Destination Charge................ 545
Total Dealear Invoice............. 32,120
Total Dealer Invoice.............. 32,120
Dealer Holdback.................... 1,040
CR Wholesale Price................ 31,080
CR Suggest starting at the CR Wholesale Price and working your way up to the figure that you want to pay. CR did not show any incentives or rebates(they may not hace up to date info) Be prepared to play the game and walk out. They will call you. Unless they sell a car, they don't make any money. Also, make sure you have they whole tire vibration issue resolved in your own mind. You can also use that as a pitch against the TL when haggling. Good luck.

I got exactly what you are getting TL/navi/protection kit/under body kit and paid 35,000 before taxes, i think i could have brought them down to 34,800 but couple of hundered bucks for the car i was dying for wasnt worth it so i know you can get the same car for 35,000 and even less now that the supply is catching up to demand. PS. mine is NBP/ebony(i dont think colors make a difference either)

The largest volume dealer in America is Rick Case. They can ship the car to your house cheaper than most local dealerships can provide. Give this man a call over there I did. Very nice and candid man:
Internet Sales Manager
Dave Kalish
Direct: (954) 377-7616
Fax: (954) 587-6381
Vehicle is insured from the time it's on the flatbed by the driver's insurance... I nearly bought mine from them but when I went back to local dealer with price quote they got too close to bother.... Good luck

That sounds a little steep....I got everything that you got on my car as well except the navi, and I paid 32,946 with all taxes and fees. Not sure if the navi is worth paying an extra $5K for...you can def work that down...

if i can pit them against each other it would be nice. but from that dealer in FL, they have two anthracite TLs on the lot with nav that are costing them money so they would be more likely to deal. and since its the 20th, they REALLY want to move those cars fast.

i will give you the gritty details as soon as i figure it all out. but i just might be swinging a kickass deal through a longdistance friend who used to be an acura salesman for 5 years and still has buddies at his old work.
if i get a nice deal, i will spit the price with the options i got so you can have a benchmark to work with at least.
