Exclamation Aaarrggghhh -- a Dodge Caravan!

Took the TL in for its first service and was presented with (drum roll please) -- a beautiful 2003 Gold Dodge Caravan with about 50,000 miles on it! Talk about crappy customer service.

If in Dallas, stay away from David McDavid Acura unless you enjoy driving a grocery-getter -- they were handing these babies out to all of the Acura owners that dropped their cars off for service.

BTW, anyone have the 0-60 specs for a 2003 Caravan

I always take mine to goodson acura. All they give out are the RSX's. Would be nice if they gave out a TSX ot TL as a loaner.

Mine is in at Goodson right now and they gave me a TSX. They would have given me a TL, but were out of them at the time.

John Eagle Acura in Houston always gives me a TL (usually an '02 or '03); but the recent '04 was sweet

It was one of the service reps cars, and she had not even driven it yet - she definitely gave me some good-natured grief about it.

I was given a 04 Toyota Camry (BIG POS) on a recent visit to an East Bay dealer. When I returned the Camry, I told the service advisor I will not drive a rental car again. My sales person told me I would drive ACURAS.... I then told my sales advisor only to schedule my appointments when they had Acura Loaners available.

I have only been given Acuras ever since..

Demand ACURA LOANERS..

The Downtown Acura dealership here in Toronto lends you a 1.7 EL as a loaner when you bring your car in for service. Nothing else, no TSX's or TL's. Too bad, I wouldn't mind having a TSX for a day.

My dealer has an Enterprise franchise right in the showroom, so we get whatever they have. They do have some TL loaners, though.

I'm sure that service reps got good discount out of Acura dealer, which might ask her favor to donate her car sometimes if needed...

TO copter, I'll follow your good idea, always demand Acura loaners.

And I was complaining about getting a TSX instead of an RSX. I better stop complaining before they stick me with a caravan.

Hey, I'm in the Irving area and will take it to Goodson for any service I need. If they were to give me a Dodge Caravan, I'd just say "I'lll sleep over... don't worry, I'll lock up".

Just wondering what kind of service work you guys are having that the dealers are giving you loaners. My dealer said they will give me a loaner if the work is expected to be # or more hours. The do have a shuttle - yadda, yadda, yadda.

Since my work is 35 miles from the dealer, the only time I have to drop the car off is in the morning or at the end of the day. In either case, I still need a car to go to work. So, a car is a must and I communicate this to my dealer. They have no problem with giving me a loaner due to my reasoning, but then again, I don't think you have to reason with them at all - Acura service is just great.
