I have a 2006 TL and just hit 30K miles and the A12 service reminder came up.

I believe it is to change the oil, rotate the tires, and replace both the air/cabin filters. I also realized that I haven't replaced the brake fluid yet either? Is this something that I should do as well? What about the transmission fluid? I think some people say do this at 30k but others at 60k. Any thoughts on this?

Is there any reason that I can't take this to a Honda dealership vs. Acura dealership for this work -i'm assuming it would be cheaper? I know most of you say to DIY. That won't happen So, it's either going to the Acura dealership, Honda dealership, or a local shop.

I don't know about the time increments or what to do at each, but I know you can take your car to Honda for cheaper service. You can actually take it to any dealership, it doesn't have to be just Acura or Honda.

that cabin filter is best diy--they charge over 100 dollars at dealer for a 20 minute project!

DO change brake fluid for sure--and every year from now on
makes a big differance in pedal feel and brake operation

DO 3 qts drain and refill on trans,,use honda atf or
ck post by I Hate Cars regarding a non honda fluid thats removed shudder from 2nd gear shift into 3rd on auto trans!!

honda dealer or private shop that has hondas listed as main thing they do--thats fine for basic services

as far as warranty coverage- as long as you have a receipt showing service was done--thats all you need
