so tonight in class i did a little presentation on the TL and the engine specs and things of that nature.....well to make a long story short after class im walking to my car and i hear "yo u wanna race" so i turn around and its this asshole loud mouth kid that is in my class who thinks he's the shit....so he goes "yo you wanna race ill spank that Acura all over the road meet me on Rt.1" so i go oh you drive that S4 and he goes "yea come get some ill have that TL lickin my S4's balls" so i was like iight watever lets go......i get on rt.1 and he pulls to the side of me.......the car that was in his lane decides to pull in front of me so the kid starts off ahead of me so in 2nd gear i go around the other car and as i pass the S4 all i hear is my car bouncing off the rev limiter in second gear!!!......i wasnt paying attention i was focusing on the car that was in front of me trying not to hit him....so once i get it into 3rd the road is clear ahead and the nose of my car is dead even at his rear passenger door....as soon as the VTEC popped in 3rd i passed him and was slowly pulling away.....then that infamous 4th gear hit but for some reason my 4th held in strong and he inched up in front of me a bit but once i got it over 3500K in 4th i passed him and pulled about a car on him then i had to shut it down to exit off at my exit for Rt.18 south..........his car seemed to be stock....no exhaust but under the hood i dont know it sounded lightly modded maybe a intake??.....ill find out on tuesday but i know he's gonna yap his big mouth and say "oh i slowed down"........if i didnt choke in 2nd i would sweeped his ass all over Rt.1

good sh!t man! I'm gonna smoke some girl in her s4, same model. Her buddy was over here telling me how bad I'll get smoked. Good to have some insight-

 

id be careful with those s4's with a few light mods you can make them pretty damn fast..

 

those S4 are crazy fast! Biturbo with just a chip you are looking at over 400hp.

 

Only takes about $400 bucks to make that biatch super quick. My co-worker has one dynoed a little over 300 hp with just a chip and intake. Still wouldnt buy one though with their freakin turbo issues, but those S4's look sick..love em..

i still havent found a stock s4 to race, ive only raced one and he had over 20gs under the hood and left me like i was standing still.

you have a TL-P with no engine mods right? its kinda hard to believe u beat him cause they have 245hp if im not mistaken. off the line you would have ended up lickin his balls. I'm almost certain that asshole is all talk and doesnt know how to drive that car.

 

Sounds like you guys were running through North Brunswick. If so, go VERY easy on that stretch; NBPD are complete Nazis when it comes to any form of speeding, let alone racing.

A respectably driven B5 S4 should have little problem with a TL-P. (Well modded B5 S4s will bring B7 RS4 drivers to tears.) But anything can happen in a street run.

 

yup we were running through new brunswick on the little strip between Devry and Rt.18 lol yea the cops are big time nazis but theres barely any cops on that part so i gave it a shot

as far as engine mods all i have is a intake

oh yea and i know those S4's do damage lol i raced a modded one a while back and lets just say he ripped a new asshole in my TL

 

sounds like that kid was driving an automatic with blown turbos (that was proabably the noise you heard coming from his engine)

 

yeh man those s4 are 250hp bi turbo, however the rs4 are v8 420hp fast. good kill though.

 

hmmmm my B5 s4 stock was real fast when I raced my 2001 cl-s w/ mods vs my 2002 s4 stock it was still no chance... he might have had a bad intake boot they rip all the time and lose boost.....

A stock 2000 S4 can beat a TL-S easy. They should easily rip apart TL-P's.

I've lined up next to a friends stock S4 with my TL-S with I/H/P/E and he pretty much had me from the launch. I stayed on his rear fender for the entire run though.

I'm glad you kicked his ass though. What a chump, calling you out just cause you like your car.

Be warned of other S4's though. Especially the current gen.. those are V8's now.

well i had class today and to my suprise he did not even look at me or say anything.....usually he'd say wassup to me but nope not today.....the girl that was outside with us asked me if i won last week when we raced and i said lets see what his reaction is.....when she saw that he wouldnt look my way or say anything to me she was like "wow you beat him like that" lol i was like wat u think
