93 octane or regular
Moe >> All of Acura's call for premium fuel. Octane 91 or above is recommended, but you can use fuel with Octane 87 or above only, and only, if there is no premium fuel is available. Refer to the manual on page 468 and you will find that information.
Besides, if you can afford a premium car and its insurance, you should not try to save money on fuel. If you switch from premium to regular fuel, you will be saving at the most 5 dollars per fill up. Worth it? May be to some, but not to me or to anyone that values his/her vehicle.
I always put Octane 91, but if I see Octane 93 or 94, at a few selected Sunocos, I go for that.
Hope this answers your question and I also hope that the rest of the AZ members will go easy on you for this question.

Do not cheap out on gas. Run at least 91, please. If you run regular then you run the risk of internal detonation because the combustion point of 87 octane fuel is different from 91 or 93 - you could damage your car over time with repeated use of regular fuel instead of premium.

Cliffs notes:
The TL pushes the limits of premium pump gas. On the scanner it shows knock retard on 91. As I tried different mixtures with 100 octane, it took approximately 96 octane before all detonation was gone. So in theory, power (namely torque) and mpg will increase up to a 96 octane mixture. The question is, will this increase be measurable. Running more octane than needed will not hurt anything but your wallet. It won't hurt mpg or power or any of the other bs you hear spread around here.
This was during a 105 degree summer day. In the winter, detonation on 91 is pretty much non existent.
Make sure the 100 is unleaded and not av gas.
