yup, if you do a search many people have put together their own light packages and installed it themselves.

I have done this. I initially put blue LEDs in 6 interior places:
- 2 map light up front
- 2 dome lights (rear passengers)
- 2 door lights

IMO, It was a little too much blue. I ended up putting the standard bulbs back in the doors, now I have 4 blue lights in the interior cabin. Some ppl have used blue lights only in the doors, leaving the other cabin lights white.

I like the way it looks now, although there is some debate as to whether or not it is too ricey.

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get a decent picture of this. With only the blue lights on, the picture is way too dark for my digital camera. If I turn on lights, or use the flash, it drowns out the blue.

1st, as stated pictures don't work, a pro could do it, but not me.

I wanted some more blue, but didn't want to overdue the look. So I did the following:
* 9 LED blue in the 2 front doors
* 9 LED white in the front and rear maps

IMO this combination is real nice. Nice blue when opening the door. The maps although white seem to have a very light blue to them so it gives a real classy look and matches well with the blue dash. The maps still function well and actually provide better, more direct light to the user.

I purchased the bulbs from "Tech Toyz", guy named Brian D. [briand@mycingular.blackberry.net]. $40 w/shipping.

This is the best $40 I spent on my TL.

How bright are the 9 LEDs? I've got 6's: blues in the doors and whites in all four domes, and while the lights are bright enough, I'd like brighter lights in the front domes.

I'm also not too pleased with the blues in the doors. You can easily see the bulb through the reflector instead of a nice wide blue light. I understand that LEDs are highly directional, but don't they make some that are less so?

MasterShake:
1) the whites are bright enough to read at night, but because of the LED nature do not bother others.
2) I do see the bulb in the door as you said, but more so in the daylight. Although I do see somewhat at night, I still like the look.

As far as Leds that are less highly directional, I would contact Brian at Tech Toyz

Good luck
