7.8 seconds to 100KMH for 5AT???

well this is perhaps the most unscientific approach in getting a 0 to 100KPH time for a 5AT TL....

i was with a friend and we wanted to see how fast the TL is...and he happened to have a timer in his cellphone so we decided to time it....7.8 seconds was the best time we pulled off....i did some runs with the VSA on and some turned off....the gas tank was nearly empty so that should give us a better result....our total weight probably in the 320 lbs range....

i wonder if the engine has some factory defect or glitch....7.8 seconds was way too long IMO.....

anyone did the same dumb test???

Irrelevant test, get a G-Tech pro and start from there.

Absolutely. Or someone who knows how to work a stopwatch....

I wouldn’t trust a cell phone to time anything....

Actually, that time is about right....

If you're towing a 25 foot boat.

No way that is the correct time unless your running in the rain or snow. With the 6speed, the canadian car magazine clocked it at 5.7sec and a 14.2sec for 1/4 mile. I would make a huge assumption her that the 5AT should run in the really and I mean really low 6's and in the mid 14sec for the 1/4 mile.

0 to 100 KPH NOT 0 TO 60 MPH

My buddy helped me time my AT TL...

Me : "Ready?"

Buddy : "Dude."

Me : "Mkay".

I floor it...

Car : "*chirp*"

EL42's : "dear god we can't handle this - we suck"

Buddy : "one one thousand, two one thousand, three one thousand, four one thousand, five one thousand...six..."

Me : "OK STOP! I HIT 60".

Buddy : "Dude, that was like 6"

Me : "Ok, imma go post that on the acura-tl.com forum. That sounds about right">

So there you have it... the Auto TL does 0-60 in about 6 seconds.
