60K service

Ok i searched real quick but couldnt find much on the 60,000 mile service and was wondering if it was really worth $495. I have been raped/had my car serviced and paid what they wanted on every other service but I am sure this isnt worth 500 bucks. Anyone know what is included? All i know is a tranny fluid change and a rotation but I am sure I can find instructions to change tranny fluid on here somewhere. Oh I have an 05 auto Thanks

There is no "60K service" as such- 3Gs follow the MID maintenance minder codes.
The owner's manual (https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/....ASP?YEAR=2005) through the 3G garage has the MID codes, as does the Acura Ownerlink website.

In addition to a trans fluid change, there is a brake fluid change (every 3 years) if not done already. Your MID may call for an interior cabin filter change as well if a "3" shows up in the code at some point.

transmission DRAIN and Refill at my dealer cost $55 plus tax.
I never done Transmission FLUSH, but local auto shop around me charge $120 plus tax
Rotation and balance should be like $40-50 at most

and what other services are included??

Hmm, I am pretty sure the MID said B2 due but my car was pushing 70k miles. The dealer changed the oil since they didnt have time to do the full service and reset the light but they said it was the 60k service that was due and that it included tranny fluid change. I will have to look up the link above, thanks

u don't do a tranny flush, do not take it to a shop to have them use a machine to drain it. u do 3 drain and refills. if u look at the diy section in the 3G garage it has instructions. if u are even somewhat mechanically inclined u can spend $100 on a floor jack, jack stands, and tools and do the service yourself and rotate ur tires too. then u can use the tools to change your oil too.
