6 Speed Manual in TL's

Was if possible to get a 6 speed manual in the base TL in 2007 and 2008? Or do I have to get the Type S to get the 6 MT? I want the stick shift but also a really nice comfortable and quiet ride.

no only type s has stick shift. COnversion is not worth it so it's type-s or nothing

Buy a type S and swap the suspension, although I think the type S rides fairly soft. Then again I am slammed on coilovers on 19s, so anything feels soft to me.

I will say the Type S is firmer than the base model (obviously), but its not to bad to where its horrible as long as your roads arent too bad. The Type S is just as quiet as the regular models, infact the Type S comes with an active noise cancellation system that the base models dont get. It has microphones built into the headliners and controls subwoofer frequencies to cancel certain road noice. If it works who know sbut I do know my Type S cruises nice and quiet :-)
