Advance autoparts, if they do not have one listed for the TL, the 7th gen Accord 6 axels will work just fine.

Just curious by aftermarket you mean OE replacement not OEM right? If anything I would see if Oreillys might carry it. If not you can try ordering off the internet.

You should be careful with re-manufactured axles. I replaced mine, now it makes this cracking sound.

Yes, but it is actually a common swap to put the TL axels in to the AV6, I have put the two side by side with no "visible" or "mesurable" differences.

Also the Advance ones are NEW from GP Sorenson for $69.99 ea.

This link https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-problems-fixes-114/new-axle-needed-751160/ also discusses drive shaft axel as well. I had gotten the GSP one from Advance Auto Parts and the serial number for the auto and manual are both the same. I had mine replaced last weekend and so far so good. Now the right side is starting to do the clicking sound upon cold starts. However, I cannot find one for the right from AAP.

Do u have a 6spd? Cuz if u do, any issues? Cuz my boy dat works for nissan ordered an axle for me but the measurements of lengths was off by 1/2" on da AT axle that he got me...

Sometimes both axles are really close in length but you can barely tell. This happens sometimes where you might have gotten the wrong side which throws off the measurement a bit. I have seen that happen a few times.

Does yours do the clicking only when cold? Cuz i have the same thing. On cold it makes horrible clicks, but after it warms up its way less.

Go for it. The guys on my last car forum started using these when their OE's were busted up from Autocross. You won't be dissapointed.

^For that price stay with OEM, you won't risk any possible headache from receiving a wrong fitting part..

Uhhhh...people spend countless amounts of money to upgrade to a higher quality component, and this is no different. If aftermarket components such as rotors, pads, clutches, pressure plates, torque converters, brake lines, and the like did not meet factory spec on the production line, they'd be out of business.

...the only difference here is that an axle is not commonly conceived as having a quality aftermarket alternative.

My axles are fine, but I will gladly use them for the TL when/if the time comes. There already exist a bevy of OE components I cannot wait to get the hell off my car, and I for one am not worried about fitment from tried and true suppliers such as this.

Yep, only on cold does the right side do the same as you had described. It's not quite as loud as the left which seems to be the only side that people seem to have the most problems with.

The reason why the part number is the same for AT and MT for the driver side is that they're identical. However, after recently getting my passenger side rebuilt, it is a little different. The end that connects to the wheel is a bit larger than on the driver's side. That's why we can't find it in the auto parts store for MT.

Thought i should revive this thread, so pretty much 1 year ago i tried an aftermarket axle, said to myself ill see how the quality is....Well to make a long story im in need of another one. Getting a vibration while accelerating and i know its that aftermarket axle..

Now im lookin into gettin an OEM or raxles axles.
Oemacuraparts has them for 197$ shipped to my door... Any1 knows any other site that has them cheaper? If so plz post up thnx, Curry acura no longer gives there discount altho ill try callin them see wat they say
