Thumbs up 53,000 miles and counting...

Just picked up my '04 TL from body shop where they replaced the windshield after it got cracked on the freeway. After driving a Ford Escape rental for a week, I sure am glad to be back in the TL.

Man... there is NO better car out there to be driving 100 miles a day in.
I take pretty good care of my TL and it still feels like new after 50k+ miles

At the rate I am going I'll hit 60k before my car turns 2-years old in July. I wonder if there are many people out there with more miles on their TLs. I picked up my 04TL pretty late in the model year so there are quite a few people with a head start on me, but I am guessing few of them drive at 30k/year rate

How many people here have 50,000 or more miles on their TLs?

Well, let's see. I drive about 600 miles per week (500 on weekdays, plus another 100 on weekends). So that's about tank and half for me. Full tank of gas for me cost about $50 last time.
So I guess I am at $75/week fuel spending level. Good thing I can afford that..

I have a 04 and it only has 14,000 on it but I must say I dont have the problems that many others have. Mine is still performing perfect and only one rattle that im too lazy to fix.

Mine is an 05 (bought in Nov. 05) and I have about 4,400 miles on it and feel like I'll be ready to cry when it hits the 5,000 mile mark. I know it's inevitable I'll hit 14,000 and eventually the 40,000 mark... but I'm trying to keep the miles off as long as I can so that in five years I can trade this sucker in for the new TL or whatever Acura suits me for that time being.

I'll consider myself fortunate only to have a 7 mile drive to work (although in bumper to bumper traffic).

However - MOST GLAD to hear that at 40,000+ miles the TL is still alive and peppy!

So no biggie. I guess I got tooo excited driving it. Now i have to drive it less for a while. First lease, first mistake, now I know next lease, lease it for 15k or 18k per year!

I'm a high mileage guy, although for different reasons over the last 5 years that I've had Acuras. Got my first Acura ('02 TL Type S) in June 2001. Traded in April 2004 with 65K on it. Then took the RSX from April 2004 until last week for 53K. I have a 92 miles roundtrip everyday to work, so I'm well on my way to maintaining my 25K a year stint in my new '06 TL (I started with 11 on Friday and already have 450.... a few extra spins around the block). That's why I opted for the extended warranty this time.

I like to add miles to my car. Makes me feel as if im using the car. I dont have to worry about lease agreements because it was bought.

Purchased my 04 in July of 04 and I now have 53400 on it. No major problems so far. Just a couple of rattles and a few burned out interior dash light bulbs. All of these issues have been adressed.

At exactly the 1 year mark, my '05 TL had 30,820 miles! She still feels like new and I still have a smile on my face whenever I drive.

I got mine on Feb. 22 05, I have just hit the 8900 mile mark. It is a lease and I have a truck I drive that keeps the miles off of the TL. I only drive maybe once or twice a week to work. Those days I always have a smile on my face.

Cars are made to be driven. They cost you a lot, so you might as well drive them and enjoy it.
