5.7 GTO AT vs Accord 6MT
I had a short quick 40 - 80mph run with a 5.7 AT GTO last night at around 11:30pm and thought I would post up.
I was the first person at the light merging onto the on-ramp, he was riding my ass all the way up until we started merging on the freeway and even hit a few highbeams on me.
Feeling provoked, I left it in 2nd with VSA off and I took off right as we started merging. I believe 5.7 AT GTOs are low 14 second cars at around 99 - 101mph? Either way, I caught him off guard and I was pulling all the way until I shut down at 80 - 85mph.
I thought it was pretty ironic, but he did a ricer flyby and I just merged into the slower lanes and let him pass. From what I could see, the GTO looked completely stock with aftermarket wheels and red decal overlays on the GTO symbol.
I felt pretty proud of my car .. He must have felt a bit of an idiot losing to a door dinged, 130,000 mile Accord with a couple fart cans on the back.

Sonnick, I am parting out my car slowly but surely. I am using the money for repairs and reconditioning my car .. who knows I may be in a new ride by the end of this year
. Until then, I'm having fun with it! I cannot believe how strong it pulls for having minor bolt ons and 130,000 mi. I saw your new dyno results and I was jelly, I think you should look into some minor weight reduction to squeeze every lit bit out of 256whp. Definitely cheaper than runners / building up your motor!
