Hi Guys

just bought a 08 NBP Base 5mt with 10,700 original miles, and I signed up to here almost the same day i brought her home. Wanted to introduce myself and show you my baby. I'm going out on a limb and assuming you guys have seen a bone stock NBP before so i waited two weeks for some "tweeks" to come through before introducing myself.

mods ( i call them tweeks for now)
tints 35%
debadged
Rho Plate relocator
ebay roof, and trunk lip spoilers.
cheap autozone black lugs

tweeks on the way are just:
yellow fog light covers
and white filler letters for the front bumper.

money is going to be tight for a while but i have aout $300 to spend on one real "MOD" before keeping it untouched for a while, i can't decide yet between:
A) A-spec front lip only, it would improve the looks but i'm afraid it will make the car look unbalanced
B) Rv6 J-pipe V3 for a little more money i'd get a little more power/torque to work with plus a nicer engine sound.
C) Comptech RSB for a solid handling improvement even though it would go unoticed not a deal breaker though.

any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

and the biggest Horsepower mod i have so far !

showing you the fitment on the ebay roof spoiler

What a great low mileage find, congratulations!

For me the biggest bang for the buck on your list is the RSB; an immediate handling improvement that makes cornering fun.

Congrats! Cars looking good so far. Keep us updated. I've been a member with a NBP TL for about a month now and still have not uploaded any pictures of car. So don't feel bad. I'm waiting till I get everything done and then post up as a surprise for everyone on here to wants to look at it. Just MO.

I think you mean AT lol. Man your car is clean, I'm jealous of the flawless looking NBP paint you got on yours... Mine looks no where near as glossy or perfect, I need to get mines detailed bad! and only 11K miles on a 4 year old car? less than 3,000 miles per year? Deal!

Non-Navi ?

Progress is 24MM and adjustable. Comptech is 22mm and not adjustable I believe.

I have a progress running it on the soft setting and car handles pretty good. I want to try stiff

you could move just one of the holes over and make it "medium" instead of just having soft or stiff as your only two options.

I vote progress, I've had mine a few weeks and love it. Beautiful car.

Do you have any other pics of that front plate mount? I have been meaning to find a way to mount my plate to the side but still am not sold on that location.

Get the Progress RSB. Set it 'soft' or 'medium' at least until you upgrade other suspension components.

Why yellow fog covers? You can get plug-and-play yellow bulbs for ~$20.

Or buy the type-S stock rsb for less than 50 bux. It's a nice inexpensive upgrade.

i didnt take too many , the plate can be adjusted to go parallel with the bumper so that nothing touches, or can be rotated slightly to look a bit straighter even though it touches the bumper this way, they give you soft padding to stop the metal from rubbing on the bumper itself.

Very nice, I'd go with Richie's Jpipe. This will be my very first mod if I find another TL. He actually has a deal going on now.

Congrats Welcome to AZ! Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/ in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.

You don't need new endlinks unless you strip the hex nut when removing the OEM ones. Which is what I did at that point you need new ones, so I upgraded and went with Moog. So far, so good

ok a moderate update of a couple of "tweeks"

last time you saw the car it looked like this

so after reading up about the wonders of Plasti-dip i couldnt help myself

ok i might have gone overboard with the tarp, but overspray bothers me

first coat, i was told not to do a full coat for the first coat. aimed for 50% opacity. i think it was close

the second and third coats.

finished product

in case you didnt notice, amber overlays on the fogs, RHo plate relocator, and the white acura stickers.

heres a tip for handed down to me by a fellow member: plasti-dip doesnt work well in cold environments, he advised to warm it with the seat warmers and make sure to shake it thoroughly

One night would you mind taking with your lights on. Overlays to me don't look all that clean other than on a white car. plus the stock fog light bulbs are only 35watts so upgrading to yellow 55watt bulbs gives you more of a weapon to the hazards of driving in low visibility situations. Your grill looks awesome bro.

I'll take one later, but I'll be honest, I didn't apply it appropriately. I didn't wash the fogs first and didn't wash it afterwards. luckily the overlays I bought came with more than enough to try again. I'll jump on those 55watts soon, thanks for the advice.
