3G AT vs 325i....what are they thinking?

I pulled up to a light and there was a red(nice color, only if it was a corvette), waxed 325i at light. I was listening to DVD-A with driver's window 1/4 rolled down.

He has an blonde in passenger seat. I'm not even looking at them, I'm just looking left to right observing cars around intersection.

Piece of advice: if I were you, I'd rather change topic to something else when I go beside faster car.

Light goes green, I hear BMW hitting gas, so I hit my gas and jump instantly on him.

By 30MPH, I got into his lane and this monkey showed middle finger. At this point, I'm turned upside down, ready to get out of car and start something. Anyway, my anger management worked that didn't happen.

You shoulda flashed your hazards infront of him after he gave the finger.

That should piss him off more after being a sore loser....

325s are a waist of money and time and gas. You should of given him the finger for waisting your valuable time and gas

Why did you jump into his lane? Did the lanes merge to one and you barely made it? Just want to know some detail.

New 325i (e90) stick was clocked at 6.7 sec, 0-60 mph. Given the fact that 3G TL stick is about 6.4, TL should win approx. 2cl so new 325 is not so slow compared to 3G TL.
But honestly, I think new 325 is more of TSX league then TL's. Performance-wise TL should be compared to BMW 330i (E90).

6.4 for TL stick and 6.7 for 325 stick?

Are we in a extremist world here?

It sounds like 6.4 is slowest speed I've ever seen for TL stick and fastest speed I've ever seen for 325 stick

yea from what I was reading on the magazines, the 325i was underrated by quite a lot so it's a lot faster than what the factory is stating.

I meant 6.4 sec for TL with automatic transmission. As for 325i (E90) stick you better believe it, they are mid 6 sec cars.

Performance-wise, the TL should be compared against the 530i. The 530i is about the same size and has similar acceleration numbers.

If we're talking about performance only, the 330i is in an entirely different league than the TL. The 330i has near 50/50 balance, a more rigid and compact chassis, RWD, and has much better steering than the TL. Bring the 2 cars on a track and it's no contest.

In terms of value and reliability (always Honda's strategic advantag), the TL wins hands-down.

everytime i watch caranddriver tv and they do the sedan comparo it ends up like this

1. G35
2. TL
3. 3 series bmw

the bimmer is 3rd cause its underpowered and they always say that the only reason the TL isnt 1st is because its not rear wheel drive so they give it to the G35.
