hmm talked to a guy i know that has been doing hondas for quite awhile, and he told me from a dig that the teggy will most likely jump me and its gonna be hard to catch up, but he also said the gearing of the type-r tranny is hella close and that ill most likely start to pull and leave him when/if we go into top end.
not sure haha

This race should be interesting. For example, the 06-08 Honda civic SI runs with the TL (04 6SP specking) and have a close run. The Type-R (B18C5) beats those civic's by car lengths, so that will be a maybe run. I also think, with that engine with boltons will beat you but i can also be wrong, because it all depends on take off. Be safe and don't kill yourselves, lmao.

hmm, speaking of jdm... i raced an 05 RSX-S the other night. 6MT with a aem sri. basically stock for the most part. but apparently, the 05 rsx-s is supposed to have some jdm parts that make it faster than all the other rsx-s...
idk but we went from a 40 roll a few times with two ppl in both cars and each time he got me but not by much
First Attempt: we lined up going 40, he honked 3 times. I left it in D and just tried to punch it... horrible fail. the delay allowed him to jump a car length from the get go and so i was playing catch up. i stayed with him but never regained that jump.
Second Attempt: we did the same thing, this time i left it in SS and manually downshifted into 2nd while going 40, there was still some delay, so he got about half a car jump on me but i hung in there and by the time we hit 110 i was pulling on him pretty hard. i shut it down around 120, but i was for sure pulling on him by then and the passenger in the other car said we were both still going WOT when i started to pull.
my guess is that from a dig where the delay really wont affect me much i shuold be even with him for awhile and then start to pull in the top end.
still a good race.

^agreed. With bolt ons it should be quick if all the stuff is legit Type-R no cheap model bullcrap.
05-06 RSX-S are pumping out 210hp I don't know what was upgraded to make it more but yeah my 03 RSX is putting out 200hp. SRI is crap...CAI is the way to go. AEM V2 CAI says for 03' RSX they got 18hp gain so hopefully I can match that and be at 218hp .

Actually, the newer SI's with a good driver behind the wheel are quite quick. I ran my friend today and we are equal drivers and it was closer than I expected. I think he only has I/E (Skunk 2 70mm) and he had my stepbro in his car. He got the jump both times so I guess that accounted for the passenger. I had him by 1.5 cars to 65 from a dig, and about the same from a low 2nd gear roll. I feel like 3rd and 4th is where I'd pull more, but it was a good run. Always nice to find someone who can drive their car!!

seems like the kid is not very smart, and also a very novice stick driver.....Put it this way there is many variations in which it could go either way....for him if he is a legit driver/if his teg has some weight reduction done to a car that is already 2700lbs/ if hes bolted even with just I/E/H....if this dude knows anything about the motor and how well is responds with a s300 hondata tune, then its a wrap for you my friend.....but I highly doubt he will have all this and be good driver....so in the end if he even goes thru with this swap it will be a good race....man I would love a Type-R in my possesion.....Don't ever sleep on a Type-R....
With the stuff I mentioned above I would race myself if I could my UA7 5at vs. B18c5 Teg.....if I was driving both my money would be on the Teg all day.......but you know what they say when its a close race driver skill plays a big part

Wow, really? He's going to put in a Type-R motor probably just so he can say so. And like its been said, if he can't drive for crap, you have nothing to worry about anyway.
My friend had a B20/VTEC swap in his old car, with forged internals and head work, that thing screamed to 9000 rpm and he destroyed SRT-4s on the street, and he probably spent less or at least not much more than it cost for an ITR swap. On the track with slicks he ran a 12.6.... Integras are no joke, except when the guy behind the wheel is a joke.
In the end though he was probably just talking shit to get a rise out of you.... the equivalent of a doing ricer flyby with his mouth

well, here is queens their are many civic 06 - 09 SI'S, the guy had to have something in the car to keep up, he keeped up from 1st-3rd by i was pulling little by little, i know he had intake and K-pro is easy to get around here, theirs a shop they, do reflashes ecu work.

True, stock for stock they are no match. They do respond better to mods than our J series tho. A properly driven modded SI will keep up with our cars, even modded. My friend and I are equal drivers and he was keeping up with me with I/E. Don't get me wrong I was pulling, and we didn't really get into 3rd and 4th where I would've pulled more, but they're quick with the driver mod.

Sonnick that's what I love about our cars, top end (same engine kinda) Most cars that I beat, I beat them at the top of 3rd and put distance on them in 4th. I didn't like that but eventually I got used to just waiting/staying steady with my competition but soon enough, I'll put some cars on them at higher speeds

dude gsr's are slow i have one, also owned an rsx-s, prelude with jdm type s swap 220hp, turbo b16 hatch, gsr hatch and i can say if he has just a b18c in his your you will kill him they run 15.5 stock 0-60 of 7.1. Now if a has a b18c5 or jdm type r in his car he will beat you hands down unless he sucks at drive'in. a stock type r runs 14.6 stock

awwwwwww.
so i talked to the dude last night at the local meet and he said when he attempted doing the swap last week the engine wouldn't work with his carr. bustttt x_X
so i guess this isn't gonna go down for me unless he figures out a way to get it working otherwise i think he's gonna scrap the project and boost what he has lol

Wouldn't sleep on a b18c MT integra + bolt ons, especially with a good driver. These will run low 15's all day, and those are GSR numbers. b18c5 integra's will run consistent flat to low 15's completely stock. I go to the track every summer, and this is all my buddies used to drive back in college. h22a/b18c/b18c5 hatchbacks and GSR/Type R integras. i've seen b18c block+b16a head swaps (poor man type R) with bone stock internals in hatchbacks (~2300lbs), running low 14's consistently. A stock 5AT TL ( i own one) is a mid-fifteen second car with the average driver. I'd brace my self if I were you. But hey, you've got luxury and class on your side, that's really what separate then men from the boys. You'd be picking up women from the Whole Foods while the guy you're racing is picking up his girlfriend from 5th period.

the numbers are too close to give it to the teg. the TL is auto and will be consistently "good" so to speak.
im saying the TL takes this one, especially considering he will be a new driver to this Type R M/T setup.

If it's the b18c5, you lose unless he's an absolutely terrible driver.

I disagree. Even with a starting driver I'd give it to the teg. The Type R motor puts out 195 crank hp. That's probably around 165whp, without botons. With I/H/E you're looking at 180whp in a MUCH lighter shell than the TL. Plus, the auto TL puts out what, about 205whp stock?

stock for stock i dont think the teggy could pull it off.

Do either of you have any mods? Mod for mod you should walk him if he is auto. If he's 6MT, it should be close, edge to the TL-s.

Yes, they have 286 but also weigh over 3400lbs. You have 210 and weigh what? 2600? If you're modded and he's stock, you will walk him if you can drive.

itr will be 5spd manual. the integra should weigh in at 2250. thats a good weight to power ratio so yes, its quick. my money would go to the integra.. if the guy can drive. alot depends on drivers.

Man I love when I get to destroy peops like that! Kind of like when I race slow challenger/charger RT's... I was playing with a Carrera about 6 months back when a charger rt came up and thought that he was going to put a smack down on lil slow me... even let him get in front of me at one point coming up to a red light and saw him lookin over to the Carrera and acting like my slow lil CTS had no chance with the big boys.. spooked the shit outta him when I let the LS scream past him to line up with the Carrera and proceed to put car lengths on the Carrera and busses on the RT... got to another light next to the porsche and the guy and I started making fun of the slow lil charger trying to play with the big dogs..
